   Mara Bovsun

Mara Bovsun is an award-winning journalist, author and features
editor of AKC Family Dog. She has volunteered her talents and
expertise for many years with DWAA, from speaking at events to
meeting with members to discuss story ideas and assignments. In
2018, Mara spearheaded DWAA’s inaugural year of Young Writers on
the Web, reaching out to schools and communities about the program
and mentoring budding dog writers. Her passion for nurturing the
careers of writers of all ages is inspiring, as are the lovely articles
and books she crafts about dogs and the people who love them.
Congratulations – and thank you! Mara Bovsun and Emily at the 2018 DWAA Banquet
