ple you order a Hans Albers, named after the Hamburg-born

sunny terrace on good weather days.

turday of the festival weekend and will celebrate the lar-
gest harbor festival in the world with the numerous visi-
tors at the harbor's edge.
Sacha Rougier, Managing Director of CGH: „We are
especially looking forward to the first LNG-operated
cruise ship in Hamburg, the Iona, of P & O Cruises,
which so far will also be the largest passenger ship in
Hamburg with more than 5200 guests.The newest mem-
ber of the Hurtigruten fleet, the expedition ship MS
Fridtjof Nansen, is equipped with a sustainable hybrid
technology, too, and, like the sister ship MS Roald
Amundsen, significantly reduces fuel consumption.“
Hamburg’s foremost aim continues to be a sustainable
development of cruise shipping in the Hanseatic city.
Hamburg’s government, the Senate, supports that aim
having recently adopted a resolution to expand the city’s

Nine ships will make their maiden call in the Port of
Hamburg in the following year: Ritz Carlton presents
the Azora on the Elbe river. It is the first newly built
ship for theirYacht Collection. Hurtigruten presents a
new expedition ship in 2020 - the Fridtjof Nansen, a
hybrid ship that also relies on battery storage on board. Spirit of Discovery
Expedition cruises are trendy. The World Voyager, yet
another ship from Nicko Cruises / Atlas Ocean Voyages
celebrates its premiere. With the Iona, P & O Cruises
is launching the first ship running on liquefied natural Azora
Silver Spirit
gas (LNG). The ship is currently under construction
at the shipyard Papenburger Meyer Werft.
Costa Cruises will have a maiden call in our port with
the Costa Fortuna, Princess Cruises has the Island
Princess visiting Hamburg for the first time. Hamburg
also enjoys great popularity with luxury cruise lines.
Silversea with the Silver Spirit, Saga Cruises with the
Spirit of Discovery and Viking Ocean Cruises with
their Viking Star already have announced a maiden
