Objectives
• Learn how to use simulation-based
  content in a post-COVID world
• Get best practices to integrating
simulation into lesson content to engage
  students
• Discover what simulation can and should
look like in a high school CTE program

How COVID Changed Education
• 1 billion children out of the classroom
  worldwide
• E-learning is the key

• Objective: Explain the purpose of the
equipment used to take blood pressure

• How met: Students will demonstrate how
  to take a blood pressure

Prepare
• Pre-simulation prep
• Readings, presentations, or lectures
• Self-assessment or reflection to identify
  gaps in knowledge
• Guidelines and expectations

Simulate
• Preparation
  – Understand the simulation
  – Trial the simulation
  – Anticipate ways the simulation can go wrong
• Participation
  – No passive learning
