The founder and CEO of Grossmann Uhren GmbH, Christine Hutter,
together with Devel Motors CEO Majid Al Attar, exclusively announces a
cooperation between the two brands as of 14 February 2019, prior to the official
opening of the new Devel Motors showroom in Dubai. A DEVEL 16 model will be
presented together with the Devel Sixteen sports car in the new Devel Motors
showroom in Dubai. The DEVEL 16 watch will soon be available exclusively from
Devel Motors. http://develmotors.com/

The Moritz Grossmann DEVEL 16 boasts a blackened stainless steel case. Inspired
by the number of cylinders in the Devel Sixteen sports car, there is to be a limited
edition of 16 watches. The DEVEL 16 dial is designed in polished stainless steel to
match the rim of the Devel Sixteen sports car. The openings between the rim
spokes allow a view of the calibre 100.1 in the High Artistic Finish. The surface of
the spokes and the rim edge appears immaculate due to the mirror polishing.
Depending on the viewing angle, it either shines black or reflects the light like as a
mirror would. A yellow Devel Motors logo graces the subsidiary seconds on a

leather wristband matches the colour in perfect harmony.

The striking indices on the blackened stainless steel outer dial ring are filled with
grey Hy-Ceram, accentuating the sporty elegance of the timepiece. The lance-
shaped hands, filled with black Hy-Ceram, further enhance the watch's refined
appearance.

The Moritz Grossmann brand manufactures mechanical timepieces to the highest
standard of craftsmanship. The independent manufactory has once again
demonstrated its openness to new creative designs and a sporty, elegant touch
with the new DEVEL 16 watch.

Moritz Grossmann watches:
Moritz Grossmann, born in Dresden in 1826, was deemed a visionary among Germany’s great
horologists. In 1854, his friend Ferdinand Adolph Lange persuaded the young, highly talented
watchmaker to establish his own mechanical workshop in Glashütte. In addition to establishing a
prestigious watchmaking business, Grossmann became engaged both politically and socially,
founding the German School of Watchmaking in 1878. Moritz Grossmann died unexpectedly in
1885 and his watch manufactory was closed.
In 2008, the spirit of Moritz Grossmann’s traditional watchmaking was revived when trained
watchmaker Christine Hutter discovered the old Glashütte watch brand ‘Moritz Grossmann’ and
had it protected. She developed concepts and was inspired by the vision of reviving Grossmann’s
legacy more than 120 years later with a particularly exquisite wristwatch. And she convinced
private watch enthusiasts to support her in making this dream come true. On 11 November 2008
she founded Grossmann Uhren GmbH in Glashütte.
Today, Grossmann’s watchmakers preserve traditions but without copying historical pieces. With
innovation, superb craftsmanship, a combination of traditional and contemporary manufacturing
methods as well as precious materials, they celebrate ‘Schönstes deutsches Handwerk’ with their
watches.
