Dialogue on the Economics
of Climate Change
1214 June 2019 | Berlin, dbb forum
Organized byOn behalf of the BMBF,
we welcome you to the Economics of
Climate Change Kick-off Conference
The Dialogue on the Economics of Climate Change, coordinated by the
Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW), is accompanying the BMBF´s
funding measure Economics of Climate Change II. The main objectives of
the Dialogue are to support the knowledge transfer between researchers
and nonacademic stakeholders, to promote young researchers, to
advance the internationalization of the funding measure and to facilitate a
lively exchange between the 29 funded projects which are organized in
four main themes and a fifth crosscutting theme:
1. Climate protection & transformation:
Decarbonisation – Competitiveness – Quality of life
2. Climate protection: Instruments and policies after COP21
3. Dealing with climate risks
4. International climate policy
5. Financial markets, financial sector and climate finance
We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to get to know the other
projects in your themes and in the entire funding measure Economics of
Climate Change II, to have an intensive exchange about potential
cooperation, to develop plans for joint activities, and to discuss current
challenges in the research on climate change.
