B&I LIONS: POWERING MEDIA
                                 COLLABORATION AND ENGAGEMENT

This partnership kicked off before the Lions’ 2021 tour to South
Africa - with players being kept in an isolated “bubble”, touring
personnel kept to a minimum and fans unable to travel due to
Covid-19. PT SportSuite’s task was to establish a digital media
ecosystem that would give the Lions media team:

  ●     Cloud-based access to all Lions digital media IP.
  ●     An efficient solution for sharing the tour’s digital media
        with sponsors and media partners
  ●     Video playlisting/streaming capabilities across their
        mobile app and web properties
  ●     A platform that would allow incentivised engagement
        with at-home fans

THE LIONS’ MEDIA PARTNER PORTAL

                                                                 The Lions Media Partner Portal was established. All Lions 3rd
                                                                 party media partners, suppliers and sponsors were onboarded
                                                                 to their own branded cloud dashboard - giving the Lions media
                                                                 team the ability to share content to specific partners or to all
                                                                 partners via a Lions Partner Community dashboard. The Media
                                                                 Partner Portal was coupled with the Lions DAM, with content
                                                                 uploaded to the Portal ingested into the DAM, while inversely,
                                                                 historical content already saved to the DAM could be shared to
                                                                 the Media Partner Portal directly via the DAM’s API plugin.

THE LIONS’ DAM

A branded Lions DAM (Digital asset Management) platform
was established. Powered by industry-leading AWS cloud
technology, all historical media assets were migrated into the
Lions’ DAM by our team, giving Lions media and marketing
personnel a centralised cloud media library with intelligent
media services and advanced video/image AI services.
LIONS VIDEO OTT

The Lions were looking for a partner to facilitate live and
on-demand streaming to the official Lions Mobile App and
on-demand streaming to their website.

They needed to set up and manage playlists for each Tour
fixture and these playlists needed to be customised to
cater for multiple simultaneous videos - allowing for
multi-angle functionality.
The team set up automated processes to transcode all
video into the required adaptive bitstream format for web
and app playback.

PT SportSuite’s video playlist management platform,
Imigino Studio, allowed for the setting up of playlists by
pulling content from the Lions’ DAM as well as multiple
‘alternative’ video options to cater for the Lions’ unique
multi-angle requirement.

THE LIONS FAN ZONE
                                                              The Lions Fan Zone was established to enable
                                                              engagement from at-home fans by capturing
                                                              behind-the-scenes fan content via incentivised
                                                              Fan Challenges. Fans could register to take part
                                                              in various media Challenges.

                                                              By registering and submitting, not only were the
                                                              Lions growing their database of registered fans,
                                                              the fans themselves were empowered to

MAJOR LEAGUE RUGBY: RE-IMAGINING
                               DIGITAL MEDIA WORKFLOW

MLR is North America’s flagship 12-team professional
rugby league.

With a mission to grow the game in the US, the league
wanted to improve media collaboration across the league;
simplify matchday media workflow; and provide a way for
players and fans to contribute media to the league.

PT SportSuite were tasked with implementing a digital
media ecosystem in less than three months that would
meet MLR’s needs.

CENTRALISING MLR’s MEDIA ASSETS IN
THE CLOUD

PT SportSuite migrated all MLR content into an
AWS-powered cloud media library, including advanced
services that enabled MLR’s media team to find the right
assets at the right time - simply, securely and lightning fast.

                                                                  MEDIA COLLABORATION AND WORKFLOW

                                                                  The MLRMojos web and app platform was implemented to
                                                                  meet all of the league’s media collaboration and sharing needs
                                                                  - a single, multi-team environment where registered users
                                                                  could upload digital media to be securely accessed by media
                                                                  teams across the league - while also allowing the MLR league
                                                                  media team to share edited content back to the teams for
                                                                  further publication and re-use.

THE MLR APP

                       MLR wanted to create a preferred destination for
                       mobile-first fans to access matchday content as well
                       as a first port of call for engagement with the league.
                       The MLR App was launched to meet this need.

                       The app features latest MLR news, fixtures, results,
                       team and player statistics, as well as
                       video-on-demand easily managed via the PT
                       SportSuite video playlisting CMS.

                       Fan engagement modules include a dedicated Fan
                       Zone, where fans can take on media challenges for
                       reward, and augmented reality scanning that will bring
                       MLR logos to life.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

To help MLR communicate the benefits of the MLRMojos
platform to the wider MLR professional community,         RUGBY SAID
PT SportSuite produced branded communication collateral
