For over 21 years Steve Hawkins
made a positive impact in the
                 parks, trails and greenspaces
                 throughout Clark County. He
began his career as a Turf
                 Maintenance Worker in 2000 and
was promoted to the position of
                 Horticulturist in 2004. Early in
                 2021, Steve announced that he
would retire from the National Trail
                 Parks and Recreation District at
                 the beginning of 2022.
                 His expertise and experience
                 in landscape design is visible
                 throughout our community in
the parks, on our bridges and in
                 the downtown esplanade. Most
                 recently, Steve was instrumental in
the design and development of the
Kirby Preserve at Old Reid Park.
                 Guiding his team of employees,
                 they worked tirelessly to redevelop
this former farm into a hidden
gem for our residents and future
                 generations to enjoy.
                 Thank you Steve, your dedication,
                 hard work and vast knowledge
