 March Madness. The NCAA prohibits student-athletes and athletic                                 PG.5
 staff from all types of sports wagering, DON'T BET ON IT.

 Student-athletes    must   consult    first   with   the    Academic    Advisor

 before submitting a course drop and withdraw form on ARMS.

 NLI and FAA forms sent to PSA's must be returned within 7-day

SPORTS WAGERING AND RESOURCES

Bylaws
    10.02.1 Sports Wagering              Sports wagering includes placing, accepting or soliciting

   a wager (on a staff member's or student-athlete's own behalf or on the behalf of

   others)    of   any   type     with   any   individual   or   organization   on   any     intercollegiate,

   amateur or professional team or contest. Examples of sports wagering include, but

   are not limited to, the use of a bookmaker or parlay card; Internet sports wagering;

   auctions in which bids are placed on teams, individuals or contests; and pools or

   fantasy leagues in which an entry fee is required and there is an opportunity to win

   a prize.

   10.02.2 Wager A wager is any agreement in which an individual or entity agrees to
   give up an item of value (e.g., cash, shirt, dinner) in exchange for the possibility of

   gaining another item of value.

   10.3 Sports Wagering Activities                 The   following    individuals    shall   not   knowingly

   participate     in    sports    wagering      activities   or   provide   information      to   individuals

   involved in or associated with any type of sports wagering activities concerning

   intercollegiate, amateur or professional athletics competition:

       Staff members of an institution's athletics department;

       Non-athletics department staff members who have responsibilities within or

       over the athletics department (e.g., chancellor or president, faculty athletics

       representative, individual to whom athletics reports);

       Staff members of a conference office; and

       Student-athletes.

CAMPUS REMINDERS

ACADEMICS

     Pre-registration dates for student-athletes soon come. Please check dusty

     email for further details.

     On Sunday, March 21st midterm grades are due.

     On Sunday, April 5th early registration starts for Maymester, Summer and Fall

     2021. Please visit www.tamiu.edu/registrar/registration.shtml for assigned

     registration dates.

     Advising sessions are held online and are by appointment. Appointments can

     be scheduled by going to https://calendly.com/diana-blackwell/tamiu-amc.

FINANCIAL AID

     If students completed a FAFSA application for 21-22, please check on

     UCONNECT to see if the Financial Aid Office is pending any documentation.

     For current students Financial Aid packaging will not be processed until

     Spring grades are final.

     The Current Student Scholarship application is now open for those that

     qualify. If you meet the requirements, apply.

     Coaches for those transfer students that meet our requirements for the

     Transfer Scholarship, that application opens on April 1.
