We are currently offering virtual services as follows:
Zoom Programs: We’re using Zoom, a web-based video-conferencing tool, to offer virtual programs for families.
Participants can join these programs through the internet or by phone. See the following pages for program
descriptions, dates/times, and registration links. Note: Pre-registration is required. SPACES ARE LIMITED. To register for a
Zoom program, click on the link provided to register on Eventbrite. If you need help with registration, please email
(earlyonmarkhameast@familydaycare.com)or phone (905-471-1620) (M-F 8:30-1:30pm- except holidays).
Facebook: Join our EarlyON educators in our private Facebook group, EarlyON @ Family Day, for live programming
Monday to Friday (except holidays) at 9am and 1pm. Each video will be available for 3 hours. To join our Facebook

Storypark: Storypark is a secure, private online community space for our EarlyON families. For more information on
Storypark please go to www.storypark.com. EarlyON Educators post announcements, videos and resources every
week including songs, stories, home-based learning activities and parenting resources. Families have access to these
resources anytime of the day. Families also have an opportunity to share their own ideas and comment. If you are
interested in joining in with other families on this community platform, please send us an email.
One-on-One Parent/Caregiver Support Sessions and Phone Support Services: Our EarlyON Educators can provide
you with information about our programs and services and how to access them. In the One-on-One Sessions, they
can assist you with any questions or concerns regarding your child's development or parenting/family and
information about other local services. Give us a call or email us from Monday to Friday between (8:30-1:30pm) at
(905-471-1620). Outside of these times, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

OUTDOOR PROGRAMS
** PLEASE REGISTER FOR ONLY ONE OUTDOOR PROGRAM AS SPACES ARE VERY LIMITED.
Please also make sure to add all names of people that are attending in your family including children so we are not exceeding
Public Health and provincial guidelines.
**WAITLIST: Please add yourself if the group is full as provincial guidelines may be expanded and we may add more people to
the group.

Stroller walking is a great way to get the 30-60 minutes of daily physical activity as recommended by Health Canada, join our
educators for a walk through the park.

This program focuses on toddler development through play. Parents/caregivers engage in activities with their
children including, arts and crafts, sensory activities, songs and rhymes.

P: Parent-Child programs for preschoolers (Ages 2 to 6 years)
Story Stretchers via Zoom (Ages 2-6 years)
Story Stretchers are any activity that extends a story. They take reading to a new level and make it more
interactive. Join us for some fun experiences for you and your child to get excited about reading, to use language
in a new way, and to have some wonderful bonding time.

Twinkle Toes via Zoom (Ages: 2-6 years)
A program for children to explore movements, guided by their parent or caregiver and a facilitator. The variety of
movements will stimulate children to engage in active and imaginative play, which will lead to physical,
intellectual, emotional and creative growth.

Kids Cooking Corner via Zoom (Ages: 2-6 years)
Come and join us for a short cooking class with your children. Cooking promotes math skills and reading
comprehension when following a recipe and encourages them to eat healthy.

Let’s Create Together via Zoom (Ages: 2-6 years)
Creating together promote communication skills, creativity and exploration. Join us each week for some fun family

Journey to Kindergarten via Zoom (Children born in 2017 and starting school in September)
Learning to Play, Playing to Learn. (Ages: For Children Born in 2017) (4 weeks)
A program designed to support a successful transition for children going to kindergarten in 2021. Join us for an
interactive play based program where parents/caregivers will also have an opportunity to chat about different
ideas and strategies to help their children develop a solid foundation for early learning.

Bedtime Songs and Stories via Zoom (Ages: 0-6 years).
Bedtime stories and songs help foster parent-child bonds, prepare children for sleep, and support brain
development. Grab your pajamas and a cuddly friend, and find a comfy place to relax and engage with your
child through songs and stories.

Creative Movement helps children develop physical skills, stimulate brain development, and promote creative

Family Fun Time is for parents/caregivers and their children to meet others virtually and play interactively online.
Parent-child play time helps support children's early learning skills, and promotes their overall health and wellness.
Join us for fun family experiences through songs, stories, music, movement, and creative expression.

Pet Planet via Zoom (Ages 0-6 years)
Join us for 3 sessions, meet some furry friends and reptiles, and learn about their habits, feeding and how to care
for them. You will meet a bunny, cat, dog, bearded dragon and leopard gecko.

P/C: Programs for parents and caregivers only.
One-on-One Triple P Primary Care Consultations (Ages: 0-6 years)
Our Triple P trained staff will schedule a one-on-one phone or Zoom consultation to discuss your concerns on the
topics below. Through the consultations, you will be provided with practical tools and strategies that you can use
for handling challenging behaviours. The consultation would involve a half-hour scheduled consultation and be
followed by 2 to 4 more consultations to provide support and help to develop a parenting plan to better manage
your children’s challenging behavior.
Toilet training - 18 months - 30 months Mealtime Problem - 3-6 years
Learn to recognize signs when children are ready Learn why some meal time problems are
for toilet training inevitable
Learn how to prepare and how long it may take Discuss ways to support consistency mealtime
