4.4.1 Plastic Bags

Plastic bags should:

    • Have a minimum of 42 microns, and maximum of 50 microns
        thickness.
    • Have a minimum of four air holes (2 each side)
    • Bear the warning ‘WARNING! Danger of suffocation. Keep this
bag away from the babies and chil dren.’

To download the template, please go to
http://www.elc.com.hk/productpack_packaging.asp

Where plastic bags are used with header cards, the supplier should ensure
that the bag is strong enough to bear the weight of the toy when hanging. It
may be necessary to position the welds at the side or use a double weld at
the base of the bag to give the bag sufficient strength.

Where bags are used with header cards the toy must be packed so the
suffocation warning and plastic identification symbols are positioned on the
rear side of the bag so it is not visible whilst the toy is on display in the store.

Staples are not allowed for any header cards as they are a risk to our
customers.
