Electrical installation field services Enhance installation safety and reliability with MP4 services Get 4 detailed plans to improve your electrical installation
Get a plant-wide electrical assessment MP4 services give you a clear vision of your installation, so you can: Maximise production levels by increasing installation availability and quality Improve your OPEX by providing a roadmap to optimise your operations and maintenance Prioritise investments and optimise your CAPEX Increase safety and reduce electrical risk levels Predict failures and act before they happen Replicate some or all recommendations at other sites
MP4 improvement plans show you the way
Each MP4 assessment delivers 4 detailed improvement plans, as well as a summary of critical safety issues. You get:
Maintenance Plan Modernisation Plan Monitoring Plan Management Plan

Critical safety issues
An MP4 assessment helps you to identify critical safety issues such as:
• Incorrect breaking capacity
• Absence of interlocking devices
• Insufficient personnel protection
• Unprotected access to live parts

Our electrical consultants partner with your teams during an MP4 installation assessment. In every step they are supported
by professional software integrating Schneider Electric know-how.
Step 1
Specify your electrical energy needs and assess your current capabilities
The first step of an MP4 service consultation involves:
• Understanding your process & quantifying your financial risks • Locating the main energy consumption points
• Identifying the critical points in your process • Gaining an understanding of your current and future
• Making a link with the electrical network, and highlighting operations & maintenance organisation and capabilities
devices or busbars that could trigger these high-risk events
Step 2
Assess equipment and evaluate network robustness
During Step 2, we:
MP4 assessments • Build a stress indicator for each set of equipment, based on: • Carry out a reliability study to evaluate the robustness
are delivered - environmental conditions (e.g. humidity, temperature, salinity) of network design in relation to the critical points
- operating conditions (e.g. load rate, number of operations) identified in Step 1
in 1 to 2 weeks by
- equipment ageing • Classify each set of equipment according to the probability

Step 3
Rate criticality levels
In Step 3, we combine stress and reliability levels to rate the criticality of each set of equipment and define
the appropriate service policy:
• Critical equipment (e.g. predictive maintenance, emergency • Major equipment (e.g. preventive maintenance)
recovery plan, upgrading action) • Minor equipment (e.g. periodic inspection)
Step 4
Draw up plans and share conclusions
Based on the output of Step 3, the following deliverables are consolidated:
• List of critical safety issues • An assessment of the priority of each recommendation and its
• List of upgrade actions necessary to restore nominal economic balance sheet
