This tournament brings together more than 900 participants from around the country to
compete in one of Australia’s richest touch football knockout.
Now entering its 6th instalment, I acknowledge and thank event partners Touch
Football Australia, Tourism and Events Queensland, Bundaberg Regional Council,
Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism and Bundaberg Touch Association, for their ongoing
support in ensuring the success of this event.
In 2021 we welcome 63 teams which is an outstanding effort in unpredicatable and
challenging COVID times. Welcome to all participants, particularly to those who have
travelled significant distances to be here, and best of luck over the weekend.
To our staff, volunteers and referees, I wish you the very best over the weekend. Most
importantly, thank you for your dedication to our sport, and I hope you enjoy your
Bundaberg Cup experience.
I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to experience some of the wonderful local
attractions here in Bundaberg and the wider North Burnett region, and I look forward to
seeing you all back again next year for an even bigger and better Bundaberg Cup.

The sixth annual Bundaberg Cup is one of Australia’s richest touch football
knockouts with $20,000 in prize money.
Open to under 12 girls and boys through to open mixed and men’s competitions,
the Bundy Cup is proudly supported by the Palaszczuk Government and the It’s
Live! in Queensland events calendar.
Whether you’re an elite competitor, a social player wanting to get back on the
field, or a spectator, the Bundaberg Cup is also a fantastic opportunity to explore
the city famous for its rum and sugar, as well as the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
Not only is the Bundaberg Cup a great celebration of sport, it’s also an import-
ant event for local businesses who benefit from the region’s growing tourism
economy.
Good luck to the teams competing in this year’s knockout and enjoy your stay in
the Southern Great Barrier Reef region.

9COVID SAFE
Queensland Touch Football are dedicated to providing a safe environment for all players and spectators. The
Bundaberg Cup event complies with the Queensland Government industry approved COVID Safe Event Plan -
Field Sports and will have COVIDSafe preventative measures in place throughout the event.
Queensland Touch Football (QTF) are taking advice from the local public health authorities and Queensland
Health to ensure Bundy Cup is delivered in accordance with all COVID measures and provides a safe and enjoy-
able experience for all attendees.
The following key principles will be implemented:
• QTF will implement best practice arrangements before, during and post the event base on advice from Gov-
ernment and Health Authorities.
• QTF will ensure participants, spectators and officials maintain and monitor physical distancing of 1.5m off
the field of play.
• QTF will enhance public hygiene measures before, during and after the event.
We all need to play our part in protecting ourselves from COVID-19. Team contacts will be responsible for ensur-
ing their players/coaches and spectators abide by all COVID safe measures implemented at Bundy Cup.
NO ONE SHOULD ATTEND IF THEY HAVE:
• COVID-19 or has been in direct contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
• Flu-like symptoms or who is a high health risk (e.g. due to age or pre-existing conditions.)
• Travelled internationally or to a COVID declared hotspot.

prior the event.

SPECTATOR CHECK-IN PROCESS
Spectators will be required to check-in when arriving at venue each day over the
two-day event. QR Codes will be placed around the venue to allow spectators to
check-in on the day. Spectators can also pre-register their attendance through the
following link:

QTF encourages all attendees to download the Australian
Government COVID Safe App and leave it on while at the venue.

AT THE EVENT
SPECTATORS
Bundy Cup is a spectator friendly event; however, all spectators MUST abide by the COVID safe measures
in place. Any spectator who does not abide by these conditions can be asked to leave the venue. Spectators
who wish to bring a tent to the venue are required to set up in allocated tent spaces. Any tent located in the
incorrect area will be asked to relocate. Locations on where tents can be positioned can be viewed on website
> Event Maps.
TEAM TENTS
The Bundaberg Cup will work under the 2m2 rule within the venue, it is the responsibility of the team con-
tacts to monitor social distancing under the team tent and abide by all COVID-19 regulations. Teams will be
required to wipe down any common touched surfaces regularly and will be required to provide all members
with hand sanisters and ball wipes. Team contacts will be responsible for ensuring the COVID safe require-
ments are met and if they are found to be in breach, the team may be asked to leave the venue. Teams MUST
ensure all tents are left clean at the end of each day; any rubbish left in the tent area may incur a cleaning
fine.
ACCESS TO WATER
Water will be located around the venue to assist with water requirements for participants. Please ensure you
abide by COVID Safe measures and utilise the hand sanitiser available prior to using the taps. QTF encourag-
es all attendees to bring their own water bottle and to not share personal items.
GAME TIME
Sanitising stations will be located on each field which will contain hand sanisters and surface wipes. Balls
should be sanitised pre- and post-games.
SANITISATION
All players, referees, coaches and managers must sanitise when they enter the venue, prior and post games
and whilst eating. Hygiene Systems hand sanitiser stations will be positioned around the venue however we
encourage participants to bring their own as well.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
All attendees are to practice social distancing whilst off the field of play throughout the event.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Regular announcements will be made throughout the day reminding all patrons to practice social
Distancing maintain good hygiene and abide by COVID safe practices.
SIGNAGE
Signs will be positioned around the venue reminding all patrons to practice social distancing as well as per-
sonal hygiene requirements.

TOILETS
Toilets will be available at the venue. All toilets will be cleaned regularly through¬out the day and we ask
patrons to abide by the maximum number of people indicated in each room.
PRESENTATIONS
Presentations will be spread out over the Sunday after finals to reduce large congregation of crowds.
EVENT STAFF
There will be QTF Staff positioned around the venue managing the COVID Safe Requirements and ensuring
no congregating can occur. All directions from QTF staff MUST be adhered to and any participant, spectator,
referee etc. found to be in breach of these directions can be asked to leave the venue.

and Disciplinary Processes.
It is each participant’s responsibility to review and comply with the Conditions of Entry for the event. It
is important that Team Managers and Team Officials remind themselves of the conditions of the event,
as they do adjust and change from time to time as required.
LEGAL GUARDIANSHIP
Persons under the age of 18 will be in attendance at the event. Please ensure you take all precautions
to ensure minors are supervised by a Legal Guardian at all times.

TFA RESPONSIBILITY CODE.
Upon registering your child for this event, you acknowledge that you have read and understood
these terms and conditions as outlined in the TFA Membership and Participant Declaration.
MEMBERSHIP AND PARTICIPANT DECLARATION
The TFA Code of Conduct applies to all individuals and entities involved with TFA. This Code aims
to ensure our core values, good reputation and positive behaviours and attitude are maintained
and that everyone involved in our sport is aware of his or her legal and ethical rights and
responsibilities.
CODE OF CONDUCT
EVACUATION PROCEDURE
Prior to an evacuation, the following ground announcement will be made over the PA System:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Management has requested that although you are in no immediate danger,
for your safety we have to stop the game(s)/performance temporarily and evacuate the fields/facility.
Please remain calm and move in the direction indicated by the nearest exit signs.”
The appropriate evacuation process is:
1. After ground announcement (above), all staff/volunteers are to provide guidance and assis-
tance to patrons if an evacuation is conducted.
2. Patrons are to be evacuated to a safe are – clear of problematic, damaged facilities or objects
that could cause further harm.
3. A count of all patrons present should be conducted as soon as all are seated and reasonably
calm.
4. Patrons and staff are to remain seated in the designated area, until Emergency Services have
given the ‘all clear’.
PLEASE NOTE: The evacuation point is located on field 3-4, please wait here where you will receive
instructions from fire wardens and/ or emergency services.

COMMUNICATION ALCOHOL AND SMOKING

• By signing the score sheet, the nominated person, on behalf of their team, has acknowledged and accepted the
information on the score sheet to be correct, including
- Full time and half-time scores
- Send offs or period of time sanctions
If you do not agree with the information on the score sheet, do not sign the score sheet and lodge a protest at the Athlete
Services area – as outlined in the Conditions of Entry.
NOTE: this year you will be required to have completed a Team Score sheet which lists all Try’s and Try scorers of the
game. If you do not present this completed sheet to the Athlete Services desk, your protest will not be considered. Team

PRESENTATIONS
Due to all games being played over two days, presentations for all divisions will occur on Sunday afternoon following
Grand Finals. Please listen to the announcements from the ground announcer for updates.
PRIZE MONEY
$20,000 worth of prize money will be up for grabs at the 2020 Bundaberg Cup, which will be split across the divisions.
Please note if you are a recipient of prize money you will be required to provide your bank details to the event manager
for payment post the event.
