Double painting exhibition by Enrico Lombardi at the City Museum
The world represented by Monica Spada is clear and patiently painted; nevertheless it doesn't lose its magic,
evocation and enigma. Her painting is like a resurrection, a dawn that does not know the night from which it rises
in order to exist in its new purity.
The most recent work by Raffaella Vaccari can be completely inscribed in the archaeological universe. In fact,
her untranslatable golden signs seem to emerge by a patient digging work that has dissected them from the
bowels of the earth.
The painter Enrico Lombardi, curator of the exhibition, presents the conversation of two different poetic worlds
that communicate with each other in the tension created by the relationship between these differences.

Couple at the theater and in real life, the ballet étoile Svetlana Zakharova and the violin virtuoso Vadim Repin are
together on stage in an exciting show where choreographic pieces of the classical repertoire and music pages by
Mendelssohn, Paganini, Ravel, Part and many others will offer an original and exciting space for the meeting of
the two stars. “Pas de Deux for Toes and Fingers” is the goal of a long artistic research, entrusted to the
musicians of the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra and to the étoiles and dancers of the Bolshoi Theater of
Moscow and the Mariinsky Theater of Saint Petersburg.

69th Sagra Musicale Malatestiana - Music Festival

Symphonic concerts by great orchestras and original projects
It is the oldest and most prestigious event in the Rimini area. In its more than 60 editions it has hosted the
greatest musicians in the world including Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Riccardo Chailly, Mstislav Rostropovich,
Giuseppe Sinopoli, Renata Tebaldi, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Zubin Metha, Georges Pretre, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur,
Valery Gergiev, Neville Marriner, James Conlon, Myung-Whun Chung.
In 2018 the program of the Symphonic Concerts of the Sagra is included among the great inaugural events of
the new Galli Theater which include:
November 21st and 25th: the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, conductor Michele
Mariotti
November 30th and December 1st: Gala Verdi - Wagner with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio of
Turin, conductor Manlio Benzi
December 3rd and 4th: 'Pas de deux for Toes and Fingers' with the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra, Svetlana
Zakharova and Vadim Repin on the violin.
In recent years, the event has expanded with several side projects where music is intertwined with other arts. In
summer with the Baroque Metamorphoses (August) and in autumn with The Sunday Concerts.

Live from the Teatro alla Scala in Milan - the opening night
“Attila” is a work by Giuseppe Verdi, a libretto by Temistocle Solera based on the tragedy “Attila, König der
Hunnen” by Zacharias Werner.
Francesco Maria Piave made some changes to the libretto at the request of Verdi.
The show is broadcasted live from the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Riccard Chailly will perform Attila by inserting in
the first act, between duet and trio, five bars composed by Rossini when he directed the opera in Paris in 1865, in
private form.

In Rimini, twice a year, in May and December, artisans, designers, creatives and visionaries come together in a
single container: it’s Matrioska, the itinerant lab store, a container for artist that produce unique pieces made by
hand, which inhabits the forgotten places of the city.
On 7th, 8 th and 9th December the light of Matrioska # 14 will shine over Piazza Cavour, at “Sala dell'Arengo”
and “Palazzo del Podestà”.
Matrioska is a research area where artists, artisans and craftsmen imagine and produce handmade pieces,
exchange ideas and show innovative ways of communication: creativity, research and dexterity are the key words
of the project.
This year, 82 craftsmen have been chosen: they are the excellences of the most traditional creative
craftsmanship, such as clothing, jewelery or furniture.
This special market-exhibition will be accompanied by music, performances, cocktails and lots of fun.

An aperitif with food combinations exclusively based on locally produced extra virgin olive oil.

characteristics of the Riminese extra virgin olive oil.

Charity event for the children of the Pediatric Oncology Hospital of Rimini
A Christmas event on December 15, in favor of the Pediatric Oncology Department (Rimini Hospital), proposed by
the non-profit association A.R.O.P. whose purpose is to support children affected by oncohematological diseases
and other chronic diseases of the pediatric age.
Participation and invitation is open to all motorcyclists and to all those who want to bring a simple smile to the
children of the oncohematological pediatrics department, with donations to A.R.O.P.
The donations (10 euros as a participation fee), can be collected in advance at the City Bar (via Tagliamento, 2
Rivabella) on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, to allow the purchase of gifts in good time.
The program includes a meeting point in the Boscovich square from 9.00 am with departure in the direction of the
Ospedale Infermi in Rimini, where the gifts will be given to the children of the Department of Pedriatic Oncology.
After the delivery the participant will return to the Sand Nativity set up in the beach of the Lungomare Tintori di
Rimini.

Towards 2020: 100 years with Fellini

Celebrations for the centenary of Federico Fellini's birth
The Municipality of Rimini and its Film Library (Cineteca) have organized a rich program of events to
commemorate and celebrate Federico Fellini, starting from October 4th.
25 years after the death of the great director, a long journey will begin, full of events, until 2020, the centenary of
the director's birth, that the city of Rimini will celebrate with the inauguration of Fellini Museum.
The first part of the review "The movies that I wrote", 15 films (projected in 35 mm), will start on October 4th, at
the Film Library. A conference will also be organized to deepen and study the Fellini's themes (Wednesday 24th
October at 9.30 a.m.). To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Fellini's death, a double appointment has been
organized: the presentation of Gianfranco Miro Gori's book “Rimini in the cinema” and the screening of the film 'I
Vitelloni' introduced by the director Susanna Nicchiarelli (Wednesday, October 31st at the Cinema Fulgor).
On November 14th, Peter Gonzales - protagonist of the film - and Francesca Fabbri Fellini will present the
screening of 'Rome', on the occasion of the opening night of the 11th edition of Amarcort Film Festival, at the
Fulgor Cinema.
On Wednesday 5th December at the Fulgor Cinema, “Fellini - Zavoli – Rimini” will be presented, a project of a
documentary under construction. The program also includes two literary presentations that will also be held at the
Fulgor Cinema: the presentation of the book “8 ½ Federico Fellini”, released in 2018 by Roberto
Chiesi (November 13th) and the preview of the book “Tre passi nel genio” by Ottavio Cirio Zanetti (December
11th).

Discovering the historical heritage of the Gambalunga Civic Library
The Gambalunga Library offers the opportunity to visit the Ancient Halls in the seventeenth century Palazzo

the jurisconsult Alessandro Gambalunga, who prepared the legacy of his "library" to the Municipality of Rimini in
his will. His achive consisted of 1438 volumes, about 2,000 printed works, with prestigious covers bearing the
emblem of the family and the name of the patron. The library, opened in 1619, qualified as public, is the first civic
library in Italy. In the seventeenth and eighteenth century rooms you can discover treasures of refined elegance

After the success of the summer with "Walk on the Beach", the orange t-shirts of “Walk on the Beach” are
transformed into "Walk on the city".
The walk led by Elen Souza Personal Trainer, passes through the streets of the city ??and the city parks.
The event is for everyone, trained sportsmen and not.
60 minutes of motor activity, including sports walking, functional gymnastics and final streching.

The protagonists of the 2018/19's season are great performers of the Italian theatre, crowd favorites and
appreciated by critics, often award-winning like Alessandro Serra, Lucia Calamaro, Mariangela Gualtieri or Teatro
Sotterraneo, they will measure themselves with texts capable of investigating everyday life, a theater that is to be
