Amphitheatre
The Amphitheatre is a favorite spot for music festivals
weddings and picnics with its soft tiered banks that
overlook the Poolside Pergola.
The Amphitheatre can accommodate up to 150 guests
comfortably and is a very popular venue for in Spring
and Autumn as it has limited shade cover.
Toilets, picnic tables and barbeques are within a short
walking distance.
Concourse
The Concourse holds some of the larger events in the Park,
particularly the annual It’s Yates Springtime at Araluen
festival between August and October.
The concourse can accommodate in excess of 600 visitors
and is suitable for larger weddings.
A Marquee or similar coverage is recommended
particularly during the summer months as there is no shade
cover.
The location provides local public amenities including
picnic tables, toilets and barbeques.
Grove of the Unforgotten
The Grove of the Unforgotten was established in
early 1930’s to commemorate the 88 YAL soldiers
that were killed in the 1914-18 war.
The Grove was built in the shape of a lyre with a
series of waterfalls descending its full length,
depicting the strings of the lyre.
The Grove has deep significant links with Araluen’s
past and is a popular place to exchange vows with
the tumbling waterfall in the background.

Chalet Healy Lawn
The Chalet Healy Lawn area also provides an intimate
setting nestled just below the Chalet Healy Cafe.
The Chalet Healy Lawn is partly shaded and is a
popular wedding location all year round that can
accommodate up to 50 guests comfortably.
This site is close to the Chalet Healy Café carpark
however parking is limited. There is room for a small
amount of chairs and tables.
Mary Hargreaves Pergola
The Mary Hargreaves Pergola is another attractive location
that is very popular for weddings. The Pergola is located on a
rise and has a beautiful outlooking the Centenary lawn and
Rose garden.
The Pergola has easy access to all amenities including the Rose
Garden carpark that can accommodate 100 vehicles.
There are seating arrangements available and as the picture
shows, your event could be invaded by a family of local wood
ducks at the right time of year!
Rose Garden Pergola
The recently constructed Rose Garden Pergola has
become a popular choice for wedding ceremonies as it is
nestled amongst the natural bush, and surrounded by
Roses.
If you want a very private wedding away from the
general public, this location should be considered and
the extra walking distance will be worth the effort.

Bennett’s Lawn
Bennett's Lawn provides an intimate setting away from the
main attractions of the Park.
Bennett’s Lawn is partly shaded and is popular year round
for weddings and can accommodate up to 50 guests
comfortably.
This site is easily accessible as it is close to one of the larger
car parks. There is a barbeque, toilets and room for tables
and chairs
No.2 Lawn Area
Another location for an intimate, quiet wedding
located near Stinton Creek, surrounded by lush
greenery.
The gentle gurgling sound and the background of
natural birdlife makes this a particularly attractive spot
for a small wedding.
It is adjacent to the No.2 carpark with barbeque
facilities.

Forest View
Our newest addition to the Park, is a great location for receptions, especially if you
are looking to go past our Park closing time. Forest View is an elegant 21mx9m white
marquee on a beautiful 500sqm Jarrah deck surrounded by lush Rose bushes and
Eucalyptus forest. The venue has direct access from Carpark No2 and the Rose
Garden. The venue also offers a private access for potential caterers with 9mx3m
sectioned off the Marquee dedicated for food preparation. Forest View has power
and water and is located near toilets and carpark (No2) offering 170 car bays. The
Marquee possesses five 600mm sphere pendant lights in white weave in the main
area. The deck has flood lights illuminating the surrounding flora and across the
pond. Two large 240L bins are provided for your convenience for the duration of the
event.

Pricing
We appreciate that a wedding venue can add significant costs to your special day,
therefore Araluen Botanic Park endeavor to keep venue fees as competitive as
possible.
Our fees are as follows:
Wedding Ceremony (2 hours) $500 to $600
Outdoor Event/Reception (4 hours and over) $1,000
Forest View Deck (Day hire) $1,500

ARALUEN BOTANIC PARK
EVENTS & WEDDING CEREMONY FEES AND
CONDITIONS
EVENTS/CEREMONY FEES
The fee for holding an event/wedding ceremony in the Park is dependent on the chosen
location.
This fee includes:
• Free entry for wedding party and guests
• 10 chairs
• Signing table 70cm x 65cm (no table cloth supplied)
• Power supplied upon request
• Free access to the gardens for wedding photos
Equipment supplied by Araluen will be placed at your location prior to your ceremony
time. Please arrange to set-up the chairs and table to suit your own requirements.
WEDDING PHOTOS
We welcome the Park to be utilised for wedding photos (even if a ceremony is not held on
our grounds). Simply pay the entry fee for yourselves and the bride party members at the
gate, these prices vary throughout the year and can be found on our website.
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
To avoid disappointment we recommend bookings to be made 6 months prior to your date
of ceremony. Bookings will only be accepted upon receipt of a completed application form
and a 50% deposit of the total cost. Direct deposit, EFTPOS, MasterCard and Visa facilities
are available.
Balance of payment is required 60 day prior to the event/ceremony.
REFUNDABLE BOND
Please note that a refundable bond of $500 for Forest View and $100 for all other locations
will be required 60 prior to your event/ceremony. This will only be retained if your event
location is damaged or rubbish, mess is left behind, or guests have not left by closing time
of the park.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
In the event of cancellation a 20% fee will apply against the total cost. This will be deducted
from any refund of deposit due. Cancellations 7 days prior to your event or sooner, will not
receive a refund.
STANDARD EVENT/CEREMONY DURATION
All events/ceremonies are subject to a 2-hour time limit. If more time is required, please
refer to the heading RECEPTIONS. Event/ceremony times must be within the
Araluen Botanic Park | (08) 9234 2217 | events@araluenbotanicpark.com.au
Park opening hours of the Park (please refer to Available Dates and Times).
The requested area shall be available for set up of your Event/Ceremony/Reception 2-
hours prior to your start time. Any extra time will be at a cost, as it inhibits other event
bookings.
AVAILABLE DATES & TIMES
The Park is available for ceremonies and receptions all year from 9.00am to 6.00pm or
9.00am to 5.00pm in the winter months except:
• From 15 August to 15 October due to our busy Tulip season and lawn maintenance
• Christmas Day
WEATHER
Unfortunately we cannot provide a backup location for your event in the case of weather.
We are a botanical park and are open to the elements. Araluen Botanic park will take no
responsibility or provide any refunds due to weather conditions.
RECEPTIONS (in Park grounds)
When using the Park grounds for an extended time for any type of reception, a facility hire
fee dependent on the location will apply. Reception times must be within the Park opening
hours (please refer to Available Dates and Times) unless alternative arrangements are
made, please speak with us to find out about holding an after-hours function. Receptions
are limited to simple picnic style that do not require large amounts of infrastructure and
extended set up times; if you are interested in a larger reception please see Forest View.
MARQUEES
Pegged marquees are not permitted. Please discuss your requirements with you Araluen
wedding officer.
NOISE LEVELS
Araluen Botanic Park is a public place and noise can adversely impact on other Park
patrons and local neighborhood. Music of any type must be played at a low volume. Please
notify the Araluen office BEFORE you book ANY live entertainment.
EQUIPMENT
Should you require specific additional equipment, these items will need to be approved by
Park Management prior to use and sourced externally. If you wish, Araluen can
recommend various hire organisations, however we do not take any responsibility for this
equipment or set-up.
ARRANGEMENTS/DECORATION
The throwing of confetti or rice is prohibited within the Park grounds but rose petals are
acceptable. Plants can only be brought into the Park with the permission of Park
Management. Araluen will not take responsibility for any decorations on the day of the
ceremony and all items must be removed after the ceremony is finished.
FIRST AID AND MEDICAL ATTENTION
If first aid or medical attention is required, please contact the nearest staff member at the
Park Entry or Chalet Healy Cafe.
