TWO SPIRITS, THE PATTERN
IN TRANSIT.
The characters of the KOBUDAI serie are a metaphor
about the current socialization of the gender and the
identity, the personal growth of each one, represented
in each design of their clothing, their evolution and the
choices they make regarding themselves, to their body
and their image; their changes, decisions, and their
constructions, reconfiguring at own will their appearan-
ce and their social roles.
The KOBUDAI Project is inspires in the two individuals,
two SPIRITS, original of the North American tribes and
communities annihilated by the Europeans during cen-
turies in the conquest of the continent. And, by the other
side, the free interpretation of a biological fact of the ani-
mal kingdom, the hormonal change of Kobudai fishes,
from female to male, that lives in waters at the south of
Japan, South Korea and the sea of the southern China.
