Date Night
                                              DONE LOCAL
February might be a little cold to go on a picnic or take a walk through
Muskingham Park but the Marietta Area has a lot to offer when looking for
date night ideas! Here are 14 suggestions, or one for everyday leading up to
                       Valentines Day, if you're extra.

Trivia night at Over The Moon Pub & Pizza, handcrafted cocktails at
740 Social, and amazing artisanal treats at Putnam Chocolate are just the
tip of the iceberg. Downtown Marietta has a wide variety of sit down
restaurants to suite everyone's taste and Austyn's makes for a special
occasion, for sure! Maybe dinner isn't your thing? Have a cozy visit to to a
coffee shop or stop by Whit's Frozen Custard for a treat.

A relaxing twist on a Valentine's Day classic is a 60 minute massage and a
gorgeous bouquet from Engles Natural Healing & Massage paired with
Two Peas in a Pod Florist! Stop by the Marietta Wine Cellar to pick up
a special bottle of wine to share with your significant other before heading
home to make a lovely dinner. Get a fun & unique gift from Wit & Whimzy
while you're at it! Their newest addition has work from dozens of local artists.

If you want a unique experience you could go see a live performance with
the Mid Ohio Valley Players or River Cities Symphony Orchestra; or
see a musical act at The Adelphia Music Hall or Peoples Bank Theatre.
If you want an experience with something to remember your date night by I'd
suggest taking a class at the BB2C Makerspace.

Go to the back to see 740 Social Daily Specials, an
amazing offer from Engles Natural Healing & Massage
and a list of BB2C Makerspace Classes for February!

MOVSC February
                                  Update
Floods are among the most frequent and costly natural disasters. Flooding may result
from rain, snow, coastal storms, storm surges and overflows of dams and other water
systems. Flash flooding can occur suddenly and without warning. Flash floods exhibit a
rapid rise of water over low-lying areas.

Flood waters can be extremely dangerous. Just six inches of moving water can knock
an adult down. One foot of moving water can sweep away small vehicles, two feet of
rushing water can carry away most vehicles, including SUV’s and pickup trucks. There were
147 flood related deaths in the United States in 2021. Out of the 147 deaths, 75 occurred
in vehicles.

Turn Around Don’t Drown Safety Rules:
1. Monitor the NOAA Weather Radio or your local news source for weather information.
2. Get to higher ground if flooding occurs in your area.
3. Avoid already flooded areas.
4. Never drive or walk through flooded roadways, the road base may be washed out.
5. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize flood dangers.

During a Flood Warning:
