Experience day you start. You will be challenged to
push yourself and grow not only in your
professional life, but your personal life
as well. Previous Interns have written
for our inflight magazine, assisted with
ad campaign photo shoots, and helped
design marketing strategies for new
gate openings as well as various other activities that have
a direct impact on the success of Southwest Airlines.
You will also be able to attend Career Development classes and events during the work day that will help
you develop the skills that you need in order to succeed in the professional world.

• Days in the Field
What’s great about Southwest is that they let you get involved and actually participate in
important activities. Just last week, I got to fly across the country to sit in on a customer
chat with Southwest’s CEO Gary Kelly and other senior level executives.

I’ve had another internship before, and not only was this more memorable and
awesome, but the other did not come near as close to developing me into a
young professional and growing me as a person. In addition to contributing
to the work Southwest does, we became a close-knit group of friends, and
challenged ourselves in the separate development activities. To describe the
people here as great is an understatement; this is an experience I will never forget.
