The problem of global warming and its effect on our environment is something
Worcester takes very seriously. This is reflected in our A-rated energy efficient
Greenstar boilers as well as our commitment to renewable technologies such as
our Greenskies solar water heating systems and Greensource air source heat pumps.
What are the Environment 2020 Awards?
The Environment 2020 Awards were established to promote awareness of energy efficiency and best practice within the heating industry
This is your chance not only to make a difference to the environment but also to be recognised and rewarded for it. So whether you’re an
installer or specifier, this is your chance to win a great prize and protect the environment.
How do I enter?
Entry to the competition is very simple. If you are a professional installer, private house builder, specifier for a housing association or
local authority, then you can enter. Simply install any new energy-efficient boiler or renewable technology from the Worcester range and
fill in the attached form. Alternatively you can pass the details of your installation (including any photos you may have) to your local
Worcester representative.
Prizes include £1,000 worth
of Love2Shop vouchers,
£500 of Bosch appliances
and an official Environment
2020 Best Practice Trophy.
The winning entry from Weaver Vale Housing Trust featured Greenskies solar thermal
panels and Greenstar high efficiency boilers, which were installed into their £4.3million
development in Frodsham, Cheshire.
What type of awards are there?
The awards are given to the product installation that is considered to have the greatest
positive impact on the environment. One installation from each of the following product
groups will be awarded an “Installation of the Year” title:
• Greenstar gas-fired boilers
• Greenstar oil-fired boilers
• Greenskies solar water heating
• Greenstore and Greensource heat pumps
• Total system solution (a combination of Worcester products installed together).
Entries will be gathered throughout the year and a special panel of environmental
experts and industry specialists will consider all entries on their individual merits and
allocate the awards accordingly.
What do I win?
The winners will be invited to receive their awards at an Awards Luncheon. The prizes
for the product categories as listed above will be £1,000 worth of Love2Shop vouchers
which can be spent in thousands of shops, restaurants and attractions across the UK. You
can also use them for package holidays, flights, cruises, hotels and much much more – so
everyone will find something they love.
The winning installer’s customer will also receive £500 of Bosch appliances. The winning
specifier will be presented with an official Environment 2020 Best Practice Trophy.
So if you think any recent completed installation or specification using products from the
Worcester range has special merit and should be considered for an award, simply complete
and return the entry form, with any available photographs, plans or drawings.
