The High School: Friendship Christian School opened its doors in 2008 with 48 students. It has
grown into an exemplary college preparatory school offering four levels of education: Resource,
ESOL, main streamed classes and advanced classes. Advanced track includes: Honors, Advanced
Placement classes and Dual Enrollment classes. Students who attend FCS usually speak two to
three languages. As a school that specializes in languages, we have students from over 12+
countries.
Enrollment: Friendship Christian School offers grades Pre-K through 12th grade. Current
enrollment is 270 students.
Faculty: Friendship Christian School faculty includes 35 full time employees and 3 part-time
faculty members.
Accreditation and Affiliation: Georgia Accreditation Commission (GAC) and Association of
Christian Schools International (ACSI)
Church Affiliation: FCS is a Christian-based learning experience. We are a non-denominational
independent school. The curriculum and schedule include Bible classes, spiritual emphasis week,
school retreat, and chapel weekly. The families and faculty represent more than 15+ area
churches.
Community: South Forsyth of Suwanee is a city of 20,569 located in Forsyth county and bordering
Gwinnett county. It is north east of greater Atlanta, GA.

Community Service: Students are required to give 30 hours of volunteer each year they have
attended FCS.
Student Ethnic Distribution: 75% of students are born in America and 25% of students are from
other countries.

Collegiate Experience: Students on the advanced track can take two college classes from Georgia
State University, Georgia Technical University, Toccoa Falls College, University of North Georgia
or Truet McConnell University per 18 weeks. Students must maintain a 3.5 average in order to
take college classes, have no demerits and have two administrative references to qualify for this
program and have an SAT or ACT on file at the school. Students may choose from 48+ college
classes that are available per semester.
Independent Study: Some students are offered extra business and elective classes through the
on line classes of the GA Virtual School program. To receive full credit, the student must take the
final exam and make a passing mark of 70% or higher in both the classwork and the exam to
receive the one credit. These classes cannot replace any classes failed in the regular schedule of
classes for graduation. The on line program of Bob Jones University is available for home school
students who wish to take part classes on campus and part classes on line. All students will take
the final exam for these classes.

Summary: 22 total credit hours total in the above specific classes with a 70% or higher and a
current SAT or ACT is required for graduation. Each senior must complete the senior project and
have a minimum of 30 community service hours and if an international student, they must have
a current TOFEL test.

Senior Project: A program designed to provide all seniors with the opportunity to work on
meaningful independent project of a pre-selected design.

School Mascot: FCS Spartan is a total warrior: To be a Spartan, is to be vigilant in the face of
new challenges, conquer big obstacles, be fierce in athletic competitions, and show courageous
actions that reflect our passion for God. With Christ being our model and epitome
of who we are, the mascot embodies principles which represent the actions which
we want to have in our interactions in sports and activities. In the face of
opposition, competition, and actions we want to be valiant and firm.

School Organization: FCS has seven 50 minute periods daily and operates on two semesters of 18
weeks each. We have 180 school days. We are GAC accredited. We have 3 ESOL classes 3 hours each
week. We have one class trip for grades (6-12). We have two annual field trips per elementary grade
and one per 6th through 12th grades. In the spring , we have one spiritual emphasis week. We
compete in the District 9 High School Honor Choruses, the NHS and Math Club Leadership
Conferences and the annual FCS Advance at Camp Grace. We have spring trips for grades 7-12 in
the spring each year to Washington, DC, The Ark and Creation Museum in KY and Pigeon Forge in
TN. The senior trip varies each year based upon the students.

*On-Line College classes are available for students in grades 10th, 11th and 12th who meet the required
course work, maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, have two administrative references and no discipline write-ups
or demerits. There are 48+ dual enrollment classes available each semester. We do not offer make-up
classes for failed classes or on-line classes to replace classes. All exams must be taken in the computer lab
with the guidance counselor. Internships with various businesses are available for those students interested
in that field and with a 3.5 GPA and a schedule that accommodates being off campus. The student must be
able to drive to and from the location. The student must have no discipline write-ups or demerits to qualify.
