Historically, the UAE has grabbed the headlines for education growth in the region. However, governments region-wide are now identifying education as a priority in developing their knowledge-based economies with the private K-12 sector benefitting most, now valued at $6.8b. The total number of students in the GCC is projected to reach 14.5 million by 2022, with the pre-primary & tertiary expected to grow faster than other segments. The number of students in private schools in the GCC is predicted to reach 3.2 million in 2023.

The vocational training market in the GCC is expected to grow by 14% by 2020, with most demand coming from UAE and Saudi Arabia.
