The distribution of supplies should look much like it did before 2020, but please wear a mask if you feel more comfortable with one than without one. Chris and I recommend that you follow CDC guidelines for protecting yourself and your loved ones. Consider having a build-party outside! We know how much work goes into the setup and placement of these lanterns, and as always, your fellow Willo residents GREATLY appreciate anyone and everyone who volunteers to be a block captain or help in any way possible. Clean Up On Sunday, December 26th, we ask that ALL LED lights be turned off and returned Luminaria WITH the batteries left inside. Home Tour Street Fair 2022 Willo Street Fair 2022 FEBRUARY 20, 2022, 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. BY B O B H E R M A N ( M O N T E V I S TA ) WILLO RESIDENTS: OTHER ARTICLES IN this and prior issues describe some of the amazing houses on the 2022 Willo Home Tour. We hope you will attend and see what your neighbors have done to their homes. Also, a part of the Home Tour is the Street Fair will be located on the 300 blocks of Holly and Monte Vista and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Street Fair is free to attend. We will have a live band, a beer and wine tent, the Willo Photo Book booth, and a variety of other vendors selling antiques, art, health care and beauty products, jewelry, vintage clothing, specialty foods, and a lot more. Most of the items for sale are from local artisans and are hand-made. We have also assembled a great line up of food vendors selling donuts and coffee, hot dogs (gourmet and regular), burgers, grilled cheese, a variety of Mexican food, pizzas, and more. Some of our food vendors are also selling ice cream, frozen desserts, cookies, cakes, and other sweets. Inside Kids Club HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOOD Willo Kids Club Events BY VA L E R I E L A N E ( L E W I S) HALLOWEEN We had an excellent turnout for the Annual Halloween Parade and ‘Celebrate Willo’ event on October 30th. We connected with so many neighbors and saw all the incredible costumes our families put together. It was a great event for all ages to enjoy. We would like to thank Erika Gagnon and Kush Govani for working with our team and making this such a great event. It will be hard to top, but we look forward to next year. ANNUAL LUMINARIA BIKE RIDE, DECEMBER 23 — WALTON PARK WKC will be working alongside the Luminaria Team and Phoenix Spokes for a family-friendly Luminaria bike ride. We will meet at Walton Park on December 23rd at 5:30 pm for photos with Santa, and the bike ride will start at 6:30 pm. Be sure to dress your bikes with lots of lights to be seen in the dark. We have extended a special invitation to Santa and our surrounding neighbors for this event. Please remember to RSVP through Evite or on the FB page so Santa knows how many treats to bring. WINTER SNOW EVENT JANUARY 29TH — LEWIS PARK. WKC will be planning our Winter Event at Lewis Park on January 29th at 3:00 pm. We will plan on having warm beverages to drink and cold snow to play with. Be sure to bring your snow shoes and shovels. We hope to incorporate fire safety with a visit from Fire Station #4 with this event.
