Greetings from the OABGC Family!
Welcome to the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club! We are excited for summer and ready
WELCOME
to meet new friends! The OABGC is growing quickly, and with growth comes change. The
information below provides new information about cost, schedules, rules, and more. We
are always available to answer questions, so please reach out if needed!
The cost of Summer KidStop is $10 per day/per child. Statements are emailed weekly and
handed out biweekly. Your current balance is also available by emailing Kelly at
COST
kkrueger@oabgc.org, or by calling the Club. Payments can be made in person, by mail/
email, or by phone. To serve you best, we ask that you make regular payments and keep
your balance low. Balances over $100 will be subject to suspension until a payment has
been made. Please contact us if you need further accommodations as we’re happy to
work with you!
As a member of the OABGC, we hold your child to high standards. Our goal is that our kids

stand out in a crowd as polite, caring, and honorable members of society. We ask that
you speak with your child about the behavior that
is expected of them. If your child is not
conducting themselves in an appropriate manner,
we will communicate with you. If at any time your

Breakfast will be served daily from 7am to 9am.
MEALS
Any member arriving after 9 am will not be served
breakfast. We will be walking to Orrville Elementary
School for lunch. We will line up to walk to the school at 11:15. If your child will be eating
lunch with the Club, they need to arrive BEFORE 11:00 am. Meals will not be provided to
any child who arrives later than specified times.
DRESS CODE
At this time, masks are required to be worn by all children in attendance. The Club follows
the same dress code as most schools. Please make sure that your child is dressed in
appropriate attire for being active. We are walking and moving most of the day. We visit
the park and walk to lunch, in addition to games we play outside. We strongly prefer that
flip flop sandals NOT be worn due to how easily they break. If it is imperative that your
child wear them, you will be required to provide a second pair of shoes to keep at the
Club for the day. *Flip Flop sandals will not be permitted on fieldtrips*
Every year Fieldtrips become a source of frustration for parents.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could enjoy summer and relax? The
FIELDTRIPS:
OABGC thinks so. That is why we have created some rules for the
fieldtrips that we think will streamline the process. We want to make
sure you understand that these rules were put in place to be fair for
ALL children, and to give ALL children a chance to attend a
fieldtrip this summer.
1. Fieldtrips are by sign up only. There will be fieldtrips on Wednesdays. Sign ups will be posted
on Monday the week prior to the trip. Since the field trips cost money to attend, we require
your payment at the time of sign up. The pool is included in this process. For your child to
attend the pool they need to be signed up and paid by the night before swimming.
2. It will be the Clubs discretion who attends trips.
3. Your KidStop bill must be in good standing before your child will be permitted to attend field
trips.
4. In addition to weekly “big” field trips, we will also be attending small field trips around town
(ie: police station, fire station, etc.). Sign ups are not required for these trips. All members are
welcome to attend.
5. As stated previously under “conduct” we expect our members to behave at a high
standard. This applies to fieldtrips, especially. When we are outside of the Club we need our
members to be listening and following directions in order to keep everyone safe. It is
non-negotiable that every member act in a way that warrants them continuing to attend
fieldtrips. If they choose not to act appropriately then they are choosing to not attend field
trips. This includes any trip outside of the Club (IE: the park, the pool and etc). We will follow a
three strike disciplinary plan. The format is as follows: 1. Parent will be warned at the first sign
of misconduct. 2. The child will miss the next scheduled field trip. 3. The child will not be
permitted to attend any field trips for the remainder of the summer.
6. Due to van capacity limitations, field trips will be limited to 16 members unless otherwise
adjusted.
We are looking forward to a great summer and have lots of fun programs and activities
planned! Hopefully these guidelines will help you understand some of the highlights of the
summer so that you understand the expectations and general operations.

Cada año, las excursiones se convierten en una fuente de
frustración para los padres. ¿No sería bueno si pudiéramos

disfrutar del verano y relajarnos? La OABGC cree que sí. Es por eso
que hemos creado algunas reglas para las excursiones que
creemos que agilizarán el proceso. Queremos asegurarnos de
que comprendan que estas reglas se establecieron para ser justas
para TODOS los niños y para darles a TODOS los niños la
oportunidad de asistir a una excursión este verano.
1. Las excursiones se realizan únicamente mediante registro. Habrá excursiones los
miércoles. Las inscripciones se publicarán el lunes de la semana anterior al viaje. Dado que
las excursiones cuestan dinero para asistir, requerimos su pago al momento de registrarse. La
piscina está incluida en este proceso. Para que su hijo asista a la piscina, debe registrarse y
pagar la noche antes de nadar.
2. Será a discreción de el Club quien asista a los viajes.
3. Su factura de KidStop debe estar al día antes de que se le permita a su hijo/ hija asistir a las
excursiones.
4. Además de las excursiones “grandes” cada semana, también asistiremos a pequeñas
excursiones por la ciudad (por ejemplo, estación de policía, estación de bomberos, etc.). No
es necesario registrarse para estos viajes. Todos los miembros están invitados a asistir.
5. Como se indicó anteriormente en “conducta”, esperamos que nuestros miembros se
comporten con un alto nivel de calidad. Esto se aplica especialmente a las excursiones.
Cuando estamos fuera del Club, necesitamos que nuestros miembros estén escuchando y
siguiendo las instrucciones para mantener a todos a salvo. No es negociable que todos los
miembros actúen de una manera que les garantice que continúen asistiendo a las
excursiones. Si eligen no actuar de manera apropiada, entonces eligen no asistir a las
