Welcome to the Muckross Park Hotel and Spa!
Thank you for choosing us to experience the very best Killarney has to offer, originally
built in 1795 our Hotel is the oldest in Muckross and are located in the very heart of the
wonderful Killarney National Park, with direct access to the beautiful Muckross Demesne
simply a short stroll across the road.
Our Concierge Team, headed by Maksim Juricic, would be delighted to assist in planning
the perfect itinerary for your stay in Killarney and would be very happy to arrange a variety
of unique activities such as jaunting car trips, horse-riding, rock climbing, boat trips or
kayaking on the beautiful lakes in the National Park. Please let us know if we can provide
you with walking maps of the area, there are many amazing walks such as the Blue Pool
walk to choose from, or perhaps you may wish to avail of our complimentary bikes so you
can explore at your own leisure.

Accommodation Services | Dial ‘0’ for Assistance
In addition to our cleaning service, our accommodation staff will provide any additional
items for your comfort. An ironing board and iron are placed in the wardrobe of your room.
Extra pillows, towels, blankets, toiletries, water, as well as extra tea, coffee, sugar and jugs
of fresh milk are available on request.
Adapter & Transformers | Dial ‘0’ for Assistance
In Ireland the voltage is 220V AC, therefore the use of a voltage transformer is required for
110V and 115V AC appliances. Please contact our reception desk if you require an adapter,
please note a €5 deposit will apply. Voltage transformers are not available in the hotel but
our reception team would be delighted to advise you on where one can be purchased.
Afternoon Tea | Dial ‘0’ for Assistance
Afternoon Tea is available in our Monks Lounge daily from 12.30pm – 5.00pm. Please
reserve your table by contacting our reception team.

The basic controls for the in-room air conditioning are located just inside the door of your
room. If you have any difficulty with the air conditioning unit in your room or wish to alter
the settings please do not hesitate to contact our reception desk.

Bar.

Our residents bar, Monk’s Lounge, is located on the ground floor of the main hotel building.
Please note, following current Government Guidelines we offer a seated restaurant service in
Monks Lounge and advise that tables are pre-booked.
Monks Lounge is open for lunch and dinner from 12.30pm to 9.30pm
Our traditional Irish Pub, Major Colgan’s, (located beside the main hotel building) is open
throughout the summer season.
Please note, following current Government Guidelines we offer a seated restaurant service only in
Colgan’s and advise that tables are pre-booked.

Colgan’s is open Monday through to Sunday for dinner from 5.30pm to 9.30pm and open
for lunch and dinner Friday to Sunday from 12.30pm to 9.30pm.

Children
We welcome children to our hotel and have designed a varied and interesting menu for
our younger guests. Children must be under adult supervision at all times. Children are not
allowed in the licensed areas of the hotel after 9:00 pm.
The Vitality Area & Thermal Suite in our Spa are for adults only, however we can provide
discounted passes to a local swimming pool for Under 18s. These are available from our

Fire Instructions
In an Emergency: In the event of an emergency contact the reception desk which is open
24 hours a day.
Fire Notice: Please familiarise yourself with the notice in your bedroom. For those who
have impaired hearing, please notify reception on your arrival.
Fire Detection System: For your safety and comfort, the hotel has an automatic fire
detection system with smoke detectors and alarm bells.
On discovery of a fire: Raise the alarm by breaking the glass on the nearest ‘break-glass’
unit located along the corridor.
On hearing a continuous fire alarm:
1. Check the fire plan in your bedroom and leave the building without using the elevator.
2. Close all doors behind you.
3. Do not re-enter the building unless instructed by the hotel management.
Familiarise yourself: Please endeavor to familiarize yourself with the nearest means of

Trout fishing is free on the Lakes of Killarney, but you will need a permit to fish for them
on the River Flesk or River Laune. You will also need a permit to fish for Salmon. For

The Yew Tree Restaurant is our fine dining Restaurant and is located on the Ground Level,

Dinner is available in the Yew Tree Restaurant Tuesdays through to Saturdays between
6:30pm and 9:30pm. Please note that The Yew Tree Restaurant is not open on Sunday or
Monday evenings.
