Dear Parents/Guardians,
Pre-registration for Heritage Green families: Registration will open for families who currently attend a Heritage
Green before and after school program, or those who have registered for a camp program in previous years
from February 18th to March 20th. Forms can be dropped off to any of our before and after school sites during
normal program hours or to our main site at Heritage Green Child Care between 7am and 6pm. Forms can also
be emailed to camps@hgchildcare.com.
Parents requiring full weeks will be processed first.
Parents requiring part time spots can submit forms but will not be processed until March 23rd-25th. Forms will
be numbered, and processed in the order they are received. You will receive an email confirmation by March
25th. Please check your junk folder if you do not receive a confirmation and mark camps@hgchildcare.com as a
safe sender.
Registration for all children who are not registered with Heritage Green must be done in person on one of the
following dates at Heritage Green Child Care (360 Isaac Brock Drive-end doors of the building): Thursday March
26th 6:00-7:30pm or Monday March 30th 6:00-7:30pm.
If spaces remain after March 30th, forms can be submitted to Heritage Green Child Care until April 30th.
Registration closes on May 1st.
Changes can be made up to April 30th. Please note however; that there will be a $35 administrative fee applied
to each week of changes, per child. For example, if you register 2 children for full time days and you decided to
drop them down to 3 days per week, you will be charged $35 for each week where a change occurs, per child.
After May 1st, there will be no refunds or credits for cancellations or changes.
Cost of camp is $40 per day for a child in Kindergarten and $38 for a child in Grades 1-6. The grade your child
completes in June 2020 is the grade to indicate on the form. Although we’d love to keep children with their
friends, we may not be able to put them in the same group for the summer camp. We are also unsure if there
will be multiple groups for the same age group. If you would like your child in the same group as another child,
please indicate so on the form. We will do our best to accommodate your request but can not guarantee all
children will be able to placed as requested.
There is an additional charge of $6 if you would like to order your child a popcorn combo on the trip to Cineplex
on Thursday August 27th.
Children are required to wear a Heritage Green Camp Shirt for all offsite trips. If you purchased a camp shirt
last summer and do not require another one, there is no additional fee.
If your child is new to camp or you would like a new or extra camp shirt, there is a $10 fee to be paid at time of
Registration.
There is a one-time $25 registration fee for all NEW children to our program, as well as an application form
which must be submitted at time of registration.

application process.
Return completed forms (pages 3-5) including post-dated cheques. If you are paying by Pre-Authorized Debit,
please indicate so on the form. If you have not yet completed a Pre-Authorized Debit Form and wish to pay by
this option, you will be required to complete one and return with a void cheque at time of registration.
Payment will be withdrawn on July 2nd and August 4th.
If you wish to pay by e-transfer, please contact Karen Tabone at 905 573 3822. You will be required to pay the
first week of camp upon registration. Cash will not be accepted at camp.
If you are paying by cheque, please post date them for July 1st and/or 15th and August 1st and/or 15th. Payment
must be received before service. Therefore, cheques must be post dated for the dates prior to the dates your
child attends the camp.

We have submitted the permit for camp to be run out of Janet Lee Elementary School at 291 Winterberry
Drive, Stoney Creek. The location may change depending on availability. Therefore, location will be
confirmed prior to the start of camp. You will only be notified if the location changes.
Camp operates from Monday June 29th until Friday August 28th. The camp is closed August 31st to September
4th as teachers return to the school to prepare their classrooms. Please note that the first day of school is on
Tuesday September 8th. The camp will be divided into four groups. We are not sure how the groups will be
divided until we can see the demand for each age group.
Hours of operation are from 7:00am to 6:00pm. All summer camp children must be picked up by 6:00pm. A
late fee of $15 for every 15 minutes or part thereof will be charged each time a child is picked up late.
Attached you will find the summer camp calendar of events. Please note that at this time all trips are subject
to change as some cannot be booked or confirmed until May. Therefore, it is important not to base your
choice of days on scheduled trips. The calendar is a detailed description of the main trips for that day as well
as some activities that will be offered throughout the day.
Any changes in trips offered or additional trips will be communicated via e-mail, so please provide an e-mail
address that you check on a regular basis. Please check your junk folder in you do not receive our emails.
Programming will begin at 9am daily, unless otherwise indicated on the calendar. Some trips will require the
children to arrive at camp by 9am so that staff can take attendance, send everyone to the washroom and be
ready to load the bus for 9:30am. If your child arrives late on a trip date and the camp has departed, you will be
responsible to drive your child to the destination point.

Child Care. Photos taken through out the camp as well as important notices will also be posted on the Facebook
page.

All children are required to bring the following:
A packed nutritious lunch with snacks. Reminder: Our Centre is a peanut/nut free zone. A reusable, labelled
water bottle.
A bathing suit and towel (if indicated on the calendar). Please bring a hat everyday! Remember to label
everything with your child's name!
Comfortable enclosed shoes or runners, NO flip flops while travelling to and from a trip, they may be worn in
the program or packed in their bag for trips to the water parks etc.
Sunscreen (with your child’s name on it), please teach your child how to apply sunscreen properly so that they
can reapply it themselves throughout the day. Please put sunscreen on your child prior to coming to camp in
the morning.
Please give any medication including inhalers to the staff; you will be required to complete a form. We
cannot administer Tylenol or Advil without a doctor’s note.
Please note that your child is responsible for any toys, games or items that they bring with them to camp. The
centre is not responsible for lost or broken items. IPads or cell phones are not permitted at camp.
