Discuss pentobarbital alternatives during June 9 Round Table
The U.S. is experiencing a shortage of pentobarbital and, in some jurisdictions,
use of this drug in euthanasia may be discouraged due to the potential for
environmental residues. Join experts Drs. Monica Aleman, Ryan Breuer and
Howard Ketover for a sensitive discussion of alternatives to pentobarbitol
during the upcoming Virtual Wednesday Round Table “Euthanasia: Alternatives
to Pentobarbital,” June 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Register for June 30 Transatlantic Equine Clinic about liver disease

Members of the AAEP and BEVA are invited to the next edition of this
international discussion, featuring Drs. Simon Peek, Tom Divers and Sarah
Smith on the topic of liver disease. The event will take place on Zoom at 7:30
p.m. London/2:30 p.m. Eastern/11:30 a.m. Pacific.

AAEP membership expires June 30 for those who have not renewed
Renew by that date to maintain access to the Virtual Wednesday Round Tables,
AAEP Anywhere online CE platform, and more programs and resources that
help you stay engaged with the community of Horse Doctors who share your
passion for equine veterinary medicine. If full payment of dues by June 30 is
difficult, you may pay your membership dues in 4 installments ($80 now, Sept.
30, Dec. 31 and March 31) with no administrative fees. A monthly payment
option is also available with a small administrative fee. If you have any
questions about your membership or need assistance renewing, please contact

Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is requesting input
from practicing veterinarians to assess the cases which are being used to
teach clinical reasoning. Your help is need with this educational project in order
to develop a realistic and effective teaching tool that will benefit Tufts
veterinary students and veterinary medical education as a whole.
