DEAR HOLY FAMILY PARISHIONERS:
The miracle has happened! Jesus, the One who died on the Cross on Good Friday, is
now the One who is risen from the dead! Sin & death are conquered, & we are once
again able to attain everlasting life.
I wish you all a blessed & joyful Easter & Easter season. May it be one of renewed
faith for you. May it be one of peace amidst the chaos that life can throw our way. May
it be one of joy that penetrates the depths of our hearts & souls.
Thanks for all the ways that you, the parishioners of Holy Family, show the Risen
Lord to me each day. I hope you realize the blessing you are to me & to one another.
Holy Family is such a great place of faith & of witness to Jesus Christ. That is because
so many are willing to share their Lord & faith with those they meet.

PLEASE NOTE: Beginning next weekend, April 10/11, Bishop Paprocki has lifted the
dispensation from attending Mass on Saturday evening & Sunday morning. That means
that all able-bodied Catholics are to come to celebrate Mass from now on. The Bishop is
maintaining a particular dispensation in the following areas:
1) Those 65 years of age or older . 2) Women who are pregnant.
3) Those who care for the sick. 4) Those at risk for severe illness.
5) Those who can’t be accommodated because the church is at COVID capacity.
If you are currently ill, have a fever or flu-like symptoms, or have good reason to think
you are asymptomatic of a contagious illness, you DO NOT need a dispensation & are
morally excused.

CONGRATULATIONS to ZACH SAMPLES & PAUL LESUPATI, both of
whom will be ordained transitional deacons for our diocese this Friday,
April 9 at the Cathedral in Spfld. Zach is a member of OLHS. We are so
proud of these two men for answering God’s call! May God bless them both.
TUITION ASSISTANCE
This year, once again, Fr. Joe has decided to scale down the requirements for HOLY FAMILY
REGISTERED PARISHIONERS wishing to receive possible scholarships for their child(ren) to HFCS
& St. Teresa HS.
If you are interested in applying for either/both scholarships, you will need to have the requested
information below into Fr. Joe by May 1st!! Please know that, if received after May 1st, the amount of
the scholarship, if granted, may be less. The information needed is:

JARRETT JOSEPH HESS, both of whom were baptized, confirmed, &
received 1st Communion at the Easter Vigil!! We are so happy & proud
of them as they begin their lives as fully initiated members of the
Catholic Church. May the Lord bless in abundance these two young men
& help them grow daily in their newfound faith.

SERVICES APPEAL is now the Bishop’s Tithe, where 10% of our income goes directly
to Springfield to help with the Diocesan Church needs. We do benefit from many of the
services that our Diocese provides. Please respond to the Lord’ call to see ourselves as
part of a larger faith community, the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois. We
support our local Church; it is time to support our Diocesan Church. Our
assessment is $86,402, and we have pledged $72,678.00. MARK AN

PRAYER FOR PROTECTION FROM THE CORONA VIRUS
Our Father Who Art In Heaven, please blanket our nation in protection from the
Corona virus. Thank you for healing our land and protecting those who are most vulnerable. Give
peace to those who struggle with loneliness and isolation, and endurance to the many businesses
that are affected by our feeble attempts to control Corona. Come to the bedside of those who are struggling
with the effects of contracting the virus. Please protect and give guidance to those healthcare workers who
place themselves in danger caring for the sick. Hear our prayer O Lord. We pray this in the powerful and victo-
rious name of your only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

be preceded by a 7:10 a.m. Rosary. Mass on Thursdays will be at 2:00 p.m., being open only to
students from HFCS each week. All will be live-streamed.
