Hyderabad - The Host City

Hyderabad, the capital of the Telangana State, is the fifth largest cosmopolitan city in India. The
city thrives with a variety of cultures intermingled into an astounding culture that gives it a
distinct identity of its own. This is where tradition fuses with modernity, and heritage
structures vie with modern high-rise buildings to add to the beauty of the city. Located in the
heart of the Deccan plateau, about 500 m above sea level, Hyderabad is known for awe inspiring
prehistoric rocks and natural lakes, along with a variety of flora and fauna. This City of Pearls,
has been at the crossroads of global commerce dating back a 1000 years when the powerful
Qutub Shahi and Asaf Jahi dynasties of Persian origin ruled. The emergence of a flourishing IT
hub has given rise to the moniker of “Cyberabad”.

Hyderabad offers a variety of tourist attractions ranging from heritage monuments, lakes and
parks, gardens and resorts, museums to delectable cuisine and a delightful shopping
experience.
