The minimum sign up age for Facebook, TikTok, Instagram,
Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube is 13. This is because a
child’s social and emotional capability is still developing
which can make it more difficult to identify and manage
challenges that occur on a platform designed for adults and
teens. If your child is under 13 and keen to use social media,
consider their capability to manage potential online
challenges before setting up a profile. It can be challenging
for parents to know where to start and how to help their
children access online opportunities safely. Netsafe has

 THE ABANDONED HOUSE
One day I drove past an old abandoned house. I saw cobwebs
everywhere and dark green moss everywhere. The moss was
covering the cracked stone path. The windows were all
boarded up and the door was barely hanging on by its hinges.
The mail from the mailbox was overflowing. The roof had
water damage and was caving in. Glass shattered
everywhere. Long brown grass grew through the cracked
 stone path.
