Welcome back
Fierce Family!
Season 7 is drawing to a close and, as restrictions continue to
lift, we look forward to Season 8 with excitement and hope!
Despite the continued disruptions as a result of lockdowns, cancelled events and isolations our
athletes have continued to thrive and achieve great things. They have trained in gardens, sheds, front
rooms and even hallways. Not only did they improve their flexibility, strength and basic tumble, but
learnt amazing life lessons along the way like resourcefulness, perseverance and commitment.
When we were allowed to return to in-person training, our athletes quickly got stuck into competition
routines, competing virtually just 6 weeks after restrictions lifted, scoring incredibly well considering
the time off. We couldn’t be prouder of this massive effort from athletes, families and coaches.
Over the past year, you will have noticed the Fiercility has had some big upgrades! £15,000 has been
invested in new equipment including a 12.8m tumble track, 8 new crash mats and safety-padded wall
cladding. We have also updated our offices and waiting area, ready to welcome spectators back into
the facility when possible. In addition, we have been lucky enough to be selected by the East Riding of
Yorkshire for a special grant funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Northern
Powerhouse. This has been used to purchase for-purpose pre-school equipment to kickstart our
CheerBears programme for athletes aged 18 months to 3 years.
As a result of these continuous upgrades, we continue to offer the largest cheerleading facility in
Lincolnshire and the Humber region, with the most sprung floor space and the most varied selection
of equipment. We know that, although our time in the gym has been limited, our athletes have already
started to see the benefit of these new pieces, gaining higher level skills faster than ever!
Our coaching staff has also been upgraded! We are thrilled to welcome Ashlyn Kershaw to our full
time coaching and admin team. Ashlyn has been with us since season 2, bringing a wealth of
knowledge in flexibility, dance and technique to the fierce family. You will be seeing a lot more form
her as she takes on responsibility for gear, uniforms and accounts, as well as managing our flyer,
flexibility and jumps programmes!
All of our staff have been updating their education continuously over the course of the season,
participating in weekly staff training sessions over lockdown and group training with the world-famous
Spring CDT! Our coaches are ready to provide the best experience for our athletes this coming season!
The season may still hold some uncertainty, but one thing we cannot doubt is the consistency of our
coaches, athletes and families. Whether it’s inside, outside or online we will be there. If there is one
thing we have learnt over the past few months, it’s that the Fierce Family is truly unstoppable.

‘ I would recommend Fierce Elite to anyone looking for a new sport for

Our tumbling programme allows our athletes to progress quickly outside their
cheerleading team training, keeping them interested, engaged and reaching
for the top!
Novice, prep, prep elite and elite level athletes are required to attend one
tumble class per week which is included in your fees. Pre-school, recreational,
adult and non-tumble athletes have the option of attending an extra tumble
class at an additional fee.

All skills are evaluated each term and awarded a grade. Athletes who have
completed all skills in the given level with a green-light technique score will be
moved into the next level class. Once an athlete passes a tumble level, they
will receive a special certificate to commemorate their achievement.
