SPORTIVE RULES

VENUE, TIMETABLE AND TYPE OF COMPETITION

VENUE

The International Master of Marseille will take place in the Vallier Complex 13004
Marseille.

We will be able to set up 5 competition mats in the 1,000m2 main sports area. A warming
up area will be opened near changing rooms.

TIMETABLE

-          Start of competition : 09h00 am

-          End of competition : 08h00 pm (approximately)

The schedule is liable to modification depending on the number of competitors.

TYPE OF COMPETITION

International individual Open Competition for Veterans (including disabled people).

REGISTRATION

The entry fee is €15, for forms sent last post 15th october 2019.

Between 16th October and 25th October 2019, the entry fee is €30. (only forms sent by
post with payment to : AJCM, 10 rue Girardin 13007 Marseille FRANCE).

Registrations on the day of the competition €50. No entry fee can be reimbursed.

Free registrations for disabled people :

FREE registrations for disabled people have got disability card in validity.

You have to send an email with your complete form justifying your disability to :

Classical registration will no longer be accepted as from ; thank you for your
cooperation.

However entry fee payment online by credit card is no longer mandatory, payment by
bank transfer or cheque made out to « AJCM » are also authorized in euros only.

Registration will be considered as complete only after payment has been received.

Entry fee online payment by credit card is not mandatory, but faster, less expensive and
more efficient.

Receipt will be available immediately by email or printed.

REGISTRATIONS WILL BE LIMITED TO 300

A waiting-list will be opened starting from 301.

COMPETITION RULES

General rules: most of the International Judo Federation (IJF) rules are to be complied
with. Certain specificities have been added, in compliance with the French Federation
(FFJDA) rules or the organizer’s own rules and to adapt for disabled people. The FFH’s
rules will be enforced to all competitiors during mixed fight « disabled-abled persons ».

As from 01.01.2018, the new FFJDA rules will apply in France : notably : 2 WAZA ARI =
IPPON

Facilities for receiving disabled competitors :

* Deaf people or people having hearing impairement : without facilities,

* Blind people or people having impaired vision : fight in lower weight class with seizure
of the judogi,

* People having mental disabilities : fight in lower weight class,

* People in wheelchairs or in restricted mobility: fight only in Ne-Waza and in lower weight
class (abled competitors will have to accept this characteristic),

The facilities will be individually handled for some of the orphan diseases, rare diseases
and light autism.

The abled competitors accept the rules by making a commitment.

During mixed fight « disabled-abled persons » :

Specification :

People in wheelchairs will be only in Ne-Waza.

Example :

•       Deaf people or people having hearing impairement will open the fight as well in
FFH’s rules with seizure of the judogi, abled competitor will fight only with his/her hands
in seizure.

1. Conditions of participation

Each federation affiliated to the IJF may enter as many athletes as it desires.

Each athlete can participate only in one weight category and in one age group.

However, organizers may decide to combine some categories according to number of
competitors.

Each athlete participates in the age division which is determined by his/her year of birth.
Competitors who have double nationality can represent only one participating country.

See examples :

•     Competitors don’t have to be 30 years old on the day of the competition: an athlete
born on 31st December 1989 can enroll in the competition of 26th October 2019; he/she
will be registered in the F1/M1 division.

•     Age divisions will be determined according to the year of birth and not the date of
birth: an athlete born on 31st December 1984 will be enrolled in the M2/F2 division even
if he is 34 years old on 26th October 2019.

3. Weight categories

Women Weights:

-48 kg ; -52 kg ; -57 kg ; -63 kg ; -70 kg ; -78 kg ; +78 kg

Men Weights:

-60 kg ; -66 kg ; -73 kg ; -81 kg ; -90 kg ; -100 kg ; +100 kg

A combination of two categories is possible should the number of participants in one of
them be insufficient (See 5 Competition formula).

4. Judogis and Back numbers

•     Judogis :

Blue judogis are allowed and even recommended when replacing a red belt.
All judogi suppliers are authorized in as much as the judogi complies with technical
norms.

•          Back numbers :

If organizers supply athletes with sponsors’ back numbers, they will be given with the
accreditation and will have to be worn during competition. They will be stuck under official
IJF or EJU back numbers that can stay on judogis.

5. Competition formula

-          4 or 5 athletes: round-robin
-          6 athletes: 2 pools of 3, the first 2 in each pool qualify for the semi finals
-          7 athletes: 1 pool of 4, 1 pool of 3, the first 2 in each pool qualify for the semi
finals
-          More than 7 athletes: an elimination system with double repechage
-          For 1, 2 or 3 athletes: the organizers are free to take the initiative of combining
age and/or weight categories as coherently as possible
-          Renewal : All categories pool according to old International Judo Federation (IJF)
rules form
-          New : Open Ne-Waza according to FFJDA rules form (From Junior category to
Veteran category)

6. Order of presentation per category

Timetable for the presentation of each age category might change according to
registrations.

For the different categories, athletes could be invited to be present at:

7. Golden Score update

In case of a tie, the golden score system will be not applied.

Decision mandatory at the end of the combat.

8. Points for grades

Masters won’t be able to score points for their grades according to French FFJDA Official
Rules.

9. Competitors with disabilities

Will be accept during the Master according to the following made rules :

- Deaf people or people having hearing impairement only with medical authorization,
- Blind people or people having impaired vision only with medical authorization,
- People having Down syndrom only with medical authorization,
- People having psychiatric disabilities only with medico-social accomodation
   authorization or medical authorization,
- Amputees only with medical authorization,
- People affected by autism spectrum disorders only with medical authorization,
- People in wheelchairs only with medical authorization.

The life accompanying person for the disabled people will have the access right to the
main fight area, failing that a volunteer per person will be affected throughout the day.

A bus of collection will be planned only for people in wheelchairs from their hotel or
accomodation.

CONTROL AND WEIGH-IN

-       Control and weigh-in will take place on Friday 25th October 2019 :

     Head quarter of AJCM, at 10 rue Girardin 13007 Marseille between 09h00 am and
        05h00 pm.
     Other head quarter of AJCM, at 42 avenue La Martheline 13009 Marseille between
        12h00 am and 08h00 pm.

        -     No weight tolerance

        -     Documents to be presented :

o       For French competitors: in compliance with the FFJDA rules of participation (Identity
card or passport (driving licenses are not accepted), FFJDA license with at least 2 stamps,
current FFJDA license, medical certificate dating back less than a year attesting that the
athlete can enter judo competitions during the current season).

o       Foreign competitors will have to provide all information that proves they are current
members of their Federation, which must be affiliated to the IJF, that they have been
enrolled for at least two years and are minimum green belt holders. If a medical certificate
cannot be provided, the competitor will be considered personally liable in case of
incident.

o       No athlete will be authorized to enroll if he/she is unable to provide written proof
that he/she is a member of a judo club, affiliated to a federation, which in its turn is
affiliated to the EUJ or IJF.

o       Insurance : Each athlete is personally responsible for taking out insurance to cover
general liability and participant accident during the period of the INTERNATIONAL
MASTER OF MARSEILLE if he/she is not already covered within the framework of his/her
national federation, either via his/her club, or via a federal license-insurance…

The organizers decline all liability.

Registrations or weigh-ins on the day of the competition between 7h00 and 8h00.

      -      Image rights, insurance, medical certificate and rules.

The agreement has to be given with the online registration; please tick the box which
replaces your signature; if the document is not signed, the athlete will not be authorized
to participate.

IMAGE RIGHTS, INSURANCE, MEDICAL CERTIFICATE AND RULES

IMAGE RIGHTS :

During all manifestations organised by the Comité Nord de Judo or by the Commission
for Masters, the images and voices of the competitors may be captured by the video set-
ups used during the competitions and annex activities.

By signing this form the competitor authorises the AJC MARSEILLE and the Commission
for Masters to use and broadcast the images and voices captured for the promotion of
judo on all types of audiovisual communication media without exception, and notably
the Comité Nord de Judo or the Commission for Masters website, video broadcasts,
televised sports programmes, Judo TV.

This authorisation is given for the promotion of the AJC MARSEILLE and the Commission
for Masters with no financial compensation for a duration of 70 years and is valid
worldwide.

INSURANCE AND MEDICAL CERTIFICATE :

For French competitors, the signer attests that he/she holds the FFJDA licence, that
he/she is insured and possesses a medical certificate attesting that there exists no
counter indication to the activity of judo for the 2019/2020 season.

For foreign competitors, the signer attests that he/she holds the licence in force in
his/her country, that he/she is insured and possesses a medical certificate attesting that
there exists no counter indication to the activity of judo for the 2019/2020 season.

Disabled people have to supply the necessary authorizations Cf. chapiter 9.

ACCREDITATIONS, COACHING, PRIZES

Accreditations and coaching

•       Each athlete will be given an accreditation card at the weigh-in the day before the
competition.

•       This card will be demanded before athletes may access the warming-up mats and,
when the athlete’s name is called, the competition zone.

•       One coach only per athlete will be authorized to access the competition zone. He
will accompany the athlete and leave the competition zone with the athlete at the end of
the fight.

•       Only one coach accreditation card will be given to the club representative for 5
athletes. To be entitled to the card a €5 deposit, refundable at the end of the competition
at the welcome desk, will be required.

Prizes and medals

There will be prizes for the winners of each category (no money prizes):
•     the first 4 (1st, 2nd and both 3rd places) for tables including 6 or more athletes.

•     the first 3 (1st, 2nd and 3rd) in pools from 2 to 5 athletes. The 4th in the pool is
not considered as equal to the 3rd.

If an athlete is the only one in his/her category, he/she will not receive a prize.

However, he/she is considered as the winner of his/her category and will receive a gold
medal.

An athlete may receive more than one medal but not more than one prize if two
categories have been combined.
