The Wisconsin Senior Olympics (WSO) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission of providing opportunities for people 50 and over
to maintain and improve their overall fitness and wellness through recreational, social and competitive events. There are many

reasons to be a WSO sponsor. When you become a WSO sponsor, you are communicating to our athletes, their family and

friends that you believe in healthy living and you are committed to supporting adults 50 years and older maintain their health.
Senior Olympics doesn’t equate to old age, as a matter of fact, we are seeing an increase in athletes who are 50 to 60 years of
age. These are individuals, in most cases, have one or more children living at home. They too participate in sports, organized
or leisure. These families regularly purchase quality sports equipment, because their safety and continued sports participation
is a priority.
For many of our athletes, health and fitness is a big part of their life. They are committed to living a healthy and active life, and
because our games are held annually, they are constantly active and training in the off season. They seek out professional
trainers, and physical therapists. They subscribe to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and patronize local vendors and providers
who also support their dedication to healthy living and competition.
Our athletes come from all over Wisconsin and the United States, below is a brief outline of where our 2017 and 2018 athletes
came from to participate in the Wisconsin Senior Olympic games, along with some interesting statistics on the age and income
level of our athletes.
