OUR MISSION

At the Kid’s Ark, we aim to include all children in the various activities we offer.
We will adapt our routine, schedule and environment to allow everybody to
participate and reach their full potential, as best we can.

Parents will be asked to register every child booked into our childcare services
upon arrival and to disclose any additional needs that their child may have. A staff
member will discuss the specific requirements wherever necessary.

The Kid’s Ark, with more than 4000sq.m. of outdoor
spaces and more than 700sq.m. indoors, is
dedicated to the entertainment of our younger
guests, under the supervision of experienced
childcare professionals.

Situated next to the golf course, the Kid’s Ark
comprises of the following separate areas, each
dedicated to a different age group:

Crèche ……………….…4 months to 4+ years old
Juniors……..……………5+ to 12 years of age
Teenagers ……………..13 to 18 years of age

Within the Kid’s Ark is a fresh water pool with Water
Slides, a Playground, a Ball Games Court, and the
Vegetable Garden.

CRECHE (4 months to 4+ years of age)

Surrounded by an olive grove and two shallow pools. The Crèche offers: creative entertainment
areas, an Art Zone, a reading corner, a kitchen, and even a “nap” room for the little ones.

The Crèche is perfect for children from 4 months to 4+ years of age.
Children will be cared for by experienced childcare professionals working on a 1:3 care ratio for
children aged 4 months to 4+ years and a 1:8 care ratio for children aged 4 and above.

Activities at the Crèche include: Drawing, rides on toy cars, play dough shapes, fun games,
puzzles, painting & creating, stone painting, basic cake making, musical instruments, mask
making are just some of the activities that are on offer!
Crèche operating times: Open from 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday- Saturday (Sunday closed)
Participation fee:      Full day - €60 per child
                        2 hour slots - €20 exc. 12:00-14:00 @ €30 with lunch included
                        6 full day package - €320 with lunch included every day

JUNIORS (5+ to 12 years of age)

Set in its own area of the resort, near the golf course, this area is comprised of numerous
facilities for both younger and older children, safely fenced away from the Crèche area. A
weekly activities program has been created to offer Junior children an inspiring and action
packed stay with us using all of the incredible facilities we have to offer.

The ball games court has a special soft surface (to avoid scraped knees), with futsal goalposts
and a basketball hoop. There is also a covered tabletop play area, protected under an
extensive wooden pergola, while adjacent a water park is located; comprised of two shallow
swimming pools (a 40cm deep one for the little ones, and a 1m. deep one for the older ones)
with two large water slides descending from a height of 3 meters. Alongside these facilities is
an olive grove with slides, ramps, swings, and a trampoline for children to play under our
supervision.

TEENAGERS
                        (13 to 18 years of age)

Get out, get active!

Golf and tennis lessons, water skiing, sailing lessons, and an array of ball games
will keep the big kids busy all day long. (Details on the next page)
An indoor entertainment center is available to them with Wi-Fi, a billiard, table,
board games and computer games.

WATER SPORTS

                            SCUBA DIVING

Children as young as 8 years of age have the opportunity to learn scuba
diving through the special programs offered by PADI, the international
leaders in self-contained underwater breathing apparatus. The
experience of floating weightless under the sea is simply magical and will
certainly inspire the children to get closer to the beautiful seascapes of
the world.

WATER SPORTS
                        SAILING

 4-hour session on-board a 45 foot “Jeanneau” sailing
 yacht. Lessons are given by professional sailing
 instructors.
 Upon completion children are taken for a swim to a
 nearby beach and are offered a light snack along with
 soft drinks.

                    FAMILY FISHING

Enjoy a fishing trip with your family on a 5 meter boat,
around the Mirabello bay. When you return, you can ask the
Chef to cook your “catch of the day”, @ Odysseus
Restaurant, by the sea!

ACTIVITIES

Activities available consist of games in the swimming pool and at the beach,
basketball, table-tennis, Cretan traditional dancing and cooking lessons, lawn
games, arts and crafts, pantomime, sand castle sculpturing, face painting and much
more. Complimentary activities also include the brand new water slides at the
private pool.

Once a week a fishing trip is organised where parents and children can appreciate
this unique experience of being in the open sea by using a simple hook to catch fish
(price details at the resort).

GOLF ACADEMY

Golf is fun when taught as a game for children, leading to many happy hours of roaming the green
oasis. Our resident Golf Pro and instructor is multi-lingual (English, Russian, German, French and
Italian) and has a wealth of experience in teaching children of all ages and all skill levels. The golf
facility at Porto Elounda is ideal for learning the sport, and you will often find the Cretan Junior Team
training here.
                                          Golf Academy for Kids

Elounda SA Hotels & Resorts is offering a new and exciting Children’s Golf Clinic, for kids &
teenagers aged 6-18. It’s based on a 4-day teaching and playing program taking place at the 9-
hole par-3 golf course inside the resort, with the added possibility of taking an extra day to experience
a full 18-hole course at the renovated Crete Golf Club, just a 35-minute drive away.

ARSENAL FOOTBALL SCHOOL CAMP

Arsenal Soccer School welcomes children of all skills (and irrespective of which team they
support) as the aim of the coaches is for everyone to have fun whilst learning to play
football the Arsenal way! "Play the Arsenal Way" is the motto of the Arsenal Football
Schools. Here, children are given the opportunity to express themselves and to develop
creatively and technically

DANCING LESSONS!

    Dancing lessons, by the internationally-acclaimed choreographer Fokas
                      Evaggelinos and his dance school!

          Fokas was praised for his work at the opening ceremony of the
Athens 2011 Paralympics and the lead judge in the judge-panel of the Greek edition of
                            "Dancing with the Stars“!

 Kids will have the opportunity to learn how to dance hip-hop or have Zumba lessons
                     either in private or in a group with other kids.

             Dancing lessons are available mid-June to end September.

SIX SENSES KIDS
                      Wellness & Lifestyle Experience

The aim of the concept is to get children involved in the world of wellness through engaging &
 interactive activities. To get them introduced to the ideology of wellness and healthy lifestyle,
which will benefit them greatly in the future. This is the first destination in the world where Six
                             Senses is going to operate this program.
