Greetings from the
Ladore Program Department
“Through The Decades!” is our theme for 2021. Oh, the memories flood our minds when we think
of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s: Sock Hops, Rock & Roll, Tie-Dye Shirts, the Golden Era of Television,
Drive-In Theater, A&W Root Beer and Car Hops, and so much more. We sure had fun!
The staff of Ladore Camp & Conference Center welcomes you to have some more fun as
we celebrate “Through The Decades!” Travel back with us to a simpler time and come
see all that Ladore has to offer. You will gaze at the Northern Pocono Mountains while
enjoying our 1300 acres of forest, lake, and rolling hills.
The program department at Ladore will have available daily theme games, guided tours and walking
trails, pontoon boat rides, music and crafts, indoor swimming pool and hot tub, game rooms, theme
movies, and more. You will go from one activity to another, or you can take a nap.
Outside on the Grand Patio, you will find bocce, shuffleboard, and a handicapped accessible miniature golf
course. Some of the best fishing in the area awaits you along with a spectacular view of the 265 acres of
our own Lake Ladore. 2021 is the year we anticipate more activities for the more active person – all to be
announced as they become available.
The chefs will prepare delicious meals. Chaplains offer inspiring devotions. Entertainers will wow the crowd!
Guest Services have big hearts and will keep you comfortable in one of our lodge guest rooms that had new
full-size beds installed in early 2020. You will have plenty of time to reminisce “Through The Decades!”.
As you plan to travel “Through The Decades!” with us, you can expect rest and affordable experiences that
are powered by God’s Love. Our mission is to impact lives for Jesus Christ by providing superior hospitality,
programs, and educational opportunities resulting in spiritual growth for all ages.

Majors Leonard and Karen Boynton have served as officers for 41 years and both have degrees in business management.
They have served as Corps Officers (pastors) in multiple locations throughout the northeastern states.
They are the proud parents of 3 sons and the exceptionally proud grandparents of 2 lovely and exceptional granddaughters.

Scholarships
When you think of scholarships, you may think of funding to help your grandchildren get a college education.
But scholarships at Ladore mean something entirely different. Our scholarships are designed to help those who
may not be able to afford a vacation or the opportunity to get away.
Our desire is for you to attend our program, reap the benefit of being with other seniors, participate in our activities
and be refreshed by spending time at our facility with old or new friends. This program gives you the opportunity to
leave the everyday behind and get recharged, ready to take on whatever may be coming.
Scholarships can be used for any of the 5 day / 4 night senior getaway weeks that we offer. Check the information
below to see if you qualify for this wonderful benefit.
1. Each applicant must be a resident of one of the following counties in the State of Pennsylvania:

2. The scholarships available are worth $120.00 per person, per year. Each recipient is responsible for
$130.00 if sharing a room or $254.00 if requesting a single room.
3. Each applicant’s income must fall on or below the level for their situation.
A. If you are single or Widow/Widower and your income is:
Under - $27,135.00 per year or $2,261.25 per month ($120.00 Scholarship) All income is counted.
B. If you are married and your income is:
Under - $36,540.00 per year or $3,045.00 per month ($120.00 Scholarship) All of both individuals'
income is counted.
4. Each applicant must produce proof of all income to the Ladore employee who will be verifying their
information.
5. Applicants must be over 50 years of age and show financial need.
6. Applicants can be anyone over 50 with an interest in attending Ladore’s Senior Getaways, not
restricted by race, color or religion. You do not have to be a member of The Salvation Army.
7. All scholarships are given on a first come, first served basis. There are a limited number available.
8. A $25.00 application fee must accompany the application. A scholarship will cover $120.00 off the
amount of your stay. You would then be required to pay the balance upon arrival. The application fee
is counted toward your balance.
9. Scholarships can only be granted one (1) per person, per calendar year.
10. Scholarships must be received in our office at least two weeks before you are scheduled to arrive so they
can be processed and approved.
11. Applications must be signed by a designated Ladore employee. Personal info is shredded once the
application is complete.
