Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Lincoln-Hubbard PTO, we are pleased to announce the Virtual Winter
2021 After School Activities! The Winter schedule consists of some old favorites as well as
new activities. These activities are a great way for your child/children to explore something
new, make new friends and have fun!

We are grateful for all the L-H teachers and teachers from the community for their time
and support.

Monday Classes
Speed Stacking                                               Instructor: Mr. Simmons
                                                             Grades: 1-2
                                                             Cost: $120

Speed Stacking - Do you like Speed Stacking? If you do or you are curious about the sport of Speed
Stacking come join the fun with Mr. Simmons. Last Spring Mr. Simmons took Speed Stacking to a
new level with many new and exciting ways to Speed Stack. Having fun and improving your skills is
the goal. I have seen first hand how all of my students improve and excel in the wonderful sport of
Speed Stacking! Supplies included.

Knitting                                                     Instructor: Ms. O’Connor
                                                             Grades: 1-2
                                                             Cost: $120

In this knitting class students will learn the fundamentals of beginning to knit. Not only will we get to
create some fun projects but we will also be working on hand and eye coordination skills, counting
and sustained focus. Supplies included.

Little Engineers                                             Instructor: Ms. Higgins
                                                             Grades: 3-5
                                                             Cost: $120

Is your child a lover of science or math? Does he or she love to build things? Then this is the class for
them! Come join the fun as we explore the basics of science, technology, engineering, and math
through the construction of 7 winter-themed projects. You may even get to eat some of your
materials!! Supplies Included.
Wednesday Classes
Relaxation through Art                                       Instructor: Ms. Yospin
                                                             Grades: 1-2
                                                             Cost: $120

Art is a natural way to practice mindfulness. Take the time to focus on creating and see where
creativity takes you. You don't need to be an artist, just the willingness to draw with freedom and
curiosity. Supplies included.

Friday Class
Magic                                                      Instructor: Hobby Quest
                                                           Grades: 1-2
                                                           Cost: $140

Join us in this fantastical, fun-filled adventure where you’ll become a fully practicing magician and
learn to perform both stunning stage feats and dazzling close-up innovations! In this program, you’ll
discover the magic secrets tightly guarded for centuries, passed down only from magician to magician.
From changing objects to mystic mind bogglers, we have several tricks to hide up both your sleeves.
We'll learn to perform famous wonders such as making objects disappear from thin air, and then
re-materialize again as if nothing had happened. And as if that wasn't enough, we'll show you how to
astound with a mastery of mind-reading tricks. By the end of this program, you'll appear to pick
answers right out of your audience's brains! Each trick is specially tailored to suit a young magician's
unique talents; because we know your amazing abilities are as vast as your imagination. All the tricks
you’ve learned are yours to keep at the end of the program!

Photography                                                 Instructor: Hobby Quest
                                                            Grades: 3-5
                                                            Cost: $140

In this exciting adventure into the world of photography, you’ll learn all the tricks of the trade just
like the pros use. From blue skies and green trees to friendly smiles and sandaled feet, you'll capture
it all as you view the world through the lens of a camera.Each student is provided with professional
equipment, snapping photo after photo for their very own portfolio. Our instructors teach you the
ins and outs of photography from arranging the perfect still shot to capturing objects in fast and
furious motion. And because all young stars deserve their time to shine, we'll create a gallery where
you can show off your artistic images to friends and family at the end of the program.
General Information
Schedule
Classes will run on either Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays for seven
non-consecutive or consecutive weeks. Please check your calendar and make note of the specific
days.

Confirmation and Supplies
Confirmation will be emailed prior to the start of the program. Supplies for the class will be
distributed at school.

Class Cancellations
There is one make-up class scheduled for the session due to a class being cancelled for weather or
a last minute emergency.

Scholarships
PTO scholarships are available for one class per child. Mr. Carlin will review all need-based
scholarships. Please call him in the office at 273-1333. Do not wait for his approval before signing
up! Register for the class at thelionlink.com but don’t submit payment.

Any participant in a Lincoln-Hubbard PTO related event, program or activity agrees to
indemnify and hold the Lincoln-Hubbard PTO and its officers, volunteers, and affiliates
harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, costs, expenses, liabilities, causes
of action and damages of every kind and character (including reasonable attorneys fees)
rising out of or resulting from or during an event, program or activity.

After School Activities are PTO sponsored programs. They are not a Lincoln-Hubbard program.
It’s the responsibility of the parent to ensure his/her child attends the virtual meet.
Registration Procedures

  Registration will be done on a first come, first served basis!

                Online Registration & Payment will open
                  Wednesday, December 9th at 9am.

Complete the registration at thelionlink.com.
After submitting the registration form, a link will be provided to submit the payment for the
selected class. Once the payment is made, registration will be completed.

                       Registration will be closed on
                      Monday, December 14th by 3pm.

                  NO REGISTRATIONS AFTER DEADLINE!

Confirmations will be emailed prior to the start of the program.

If we don’t meet the minimum numbers of students per class, we will need to cancel the class.
