MANAGING EMERGENCIES Controlling people movement during pandemic.
Overview
A SIMPLE, SECURE & SCALABLE SYSTEM
The ePass system developed by Tech Mahindra is an extremely user-friendly web tool to aid our nation
in these times of pandemic and help manage people movement during lockdowns.
The system is a centralised application for requesting and approving passes and integrating with
“Aarogya Setu”. It has been specifically designed to be secured through a closed loop DLT (Distributed
Ledger System) for business entities who may need to apply for passes for their employees,
contractors and even customers
The application manages the entire ecosystem of individual citizens, the business owners & the
administration. This is one of the select applications which have been vetted by MHA, MEITY &
TRAI. The application has been designed under the guidance of TRAI and is the most elaborate
application to handle even the needs of a national level implementation.

Unique Features
Unlike other applications, ePass from Tech Mahindra has some unique features.
Hierarchical Approvers – Enables easing out and distributing large volumes.
Pre-Approvers – An approval entity to assist seniors in filtering and validating large volumes of
requests.
QR Code and Photo on Passes – Helps administration verify pass in the field.
Quick KYC for Business – A powerful DLT [Distributed Ledgers] based system deeply integrated
with Telcos for Quick KYC aids administration in managing the volumes.
Business Appointments – Businesses like hospitals can now apply for their appointed patients and
customers in severe needs.
Quota Management – Approvers can set limits to the maximum number of passes businesses.
Revocation & Suspension – Approvers can revoke or suspend allotted passes as situations change.
Source & Destination Approvals – The ePass has a unique feature wherein the pass request goes to
the approver for source as well as destination approver. Any of them can reject the application but
only the source owner can approve it. This is particularly userful in the times of inter-district
movements.
