Welcome to
towner cinema
To celebrate International Women's Day this
March, we are looking forward to exploring
the work of German New Wave filmmaker
Margarethe von Trotta in the return of our Screen
Classics strand. We will also be hosting one-off
screenings of Lorenza Mazzetti's Together, a
film inspired by the 1950s British Free Cinema
Movement, and the beloved cult classic 9 to 5.

I'm also proud to say that this programme boasts
the highest proportion of New Release films
directed by women since our bumper celebration
of female filmmakers last summer.
