Grill N Chill Success
All students enjoyed their grilled hamburger picnic lunch this week-both at the Sumner and Yankee Hill
Campuses. A special thanks to Principal L'Heureux, Pastor Hutton and Sara Fahleson for being our grill
masters. A huge THANK YOU to Jud Jesske who DONATED all of the beef-how very kind!!! Be sure to

Spirit Day

Tomorrow is the last Spirit Day of the school year! Be sure to grab your Christ Lincoln Schools spirit wear
one last time and show your Cougar pride along with your friends.
Classroom Painting Volunteers Needed
If painting is your thing, we are in need of several volunteers ot help paint a couple of the elementary
classrooms by June 26. If interested or for more information, please contact our Facilities Director, Todd
Chase, at tchase@christlincoln.org.
Plant Sale Rewards
Below is the event that we have all been looking forward to as a result of the amazing job everyone did
selling over $64,000 worth of plants for the Plant Sale fundraiser.
Offices on the Roof
Friday, May 7th, Sumner & Yankee Hill
Principal L'Heureux and Child Care Director, Annette Kracke will be spending the day on the roof on
Friday, May 7th. (weather permitting) Watch for updates throughout the day!!
Teacher Appreciation Week
Thank you for your generous support and ALL the special treats this week. We have enjoyed the cute
theme days and the snacks to go with it. A special thanks to Emmalie Wilcox for coordinating!
Nebraska Parents Coalition Movie Night

Closing Chapel

Please join us in person (woohoo!) for our closing chapel on Thursday, May 13th at 11:00 am in the
Sanctuary. Students will be dismissed following the chapel service. This will also be live streamed.
Covid Testing
Please remember that we are asking parents to notify the school office if anyone in your household is
pending results of a COVID test.

care that will be provided.
Learn How to Golf
Have you ever golfed? Three senior students from Lincoln Lutheran have made an instructional video
about the game of golf that they would like for you to watch.
Lincoln Lutheran Camps
Are you looking for a camp for your child to grow socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually while
being able to connect with peers? The 15 different Discovery Camps at Lincoln Lutheran are designed to
serve your family in this way! Camps are open to incoming 3rd-8th graders. More info

Lincoln City Libraries Summer Reading
Please watch this video titled "Tails & Tales" as it explains the summer reading challenge, starting June
1st. Prizes for reading, it's a win/win!
CPH Reads
All students in grades K-5 were given a Concordia Publishing House reading program card. (Check the
backpack) A great way to keep reading over the summer and a chance to win prizes!

Half-Day Upcoming Dates
Security Cards/Fobs
May 06 Last Day of Class (3 year olds) Half Day Preschool families are asked to return
May 07 Last Day of Class (4 year olds) security cards to the office when the program
May 07 Promotional Ceremony, 11 am concludes in May. Fobs for returning families will
be re-issued next fall.

Starfish teachers will be sending out the invites next week for the ceremony. It will be held in
the Sanctuary.

Know a friend, neighbor or co-worker looking for a Half-Day Morning Preschool program or looking for a

Give to Lincoln Day - It's Time to Celebrate!
This special day of giving in our community is May 25. Celebrate Christ
Lincoln Schools by giving a gift that will benefit our Scholarship & Endowment
