   C O M PA S S I O N A N D C O N N E C T I O N 2020 ACGME ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE

   Conference Overview
This year’s Annual Educational Conference will be held at both the
Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront
hotels. The conference theme, Meaning in Medicine: Compassion
and Connection, will provide a framework for attendees to reflect on
and learn about how the practice of medicine can promote affirming
and vital bonds with patients, fellow clinicians, and others in medical
education. Attendees will be able to choose from over 145 educational
sessions — MORE SESSIONS THAN EVER BEFORE!
Attendees will receive detailed information and updates on
accreditation, assessment, education, innovations in the clinical
learning environment, and many other impactful, forward-thinking
learning initiatives and topics. These sessions deliver powerful,
motivating, and transformative education on topics covering diversity
and inclusion, professional development, and the latest on well-being
    initiatives.

Over the course of three days, the Annual Educational Conference
will host close to 300 speakers, several engagement activities, an
interactive Exhibit Hall, and the opportunity to gather and network with
close to 4,000 colleagues from across the US and the world. The
ACGME Annual Educational Conference is the LARGEST graduate
medical education conference in the world, and the ACGME is proud
to offer a depth and breadth of content that applies and appeals to
designated institutional officials (DIOs), faculty members, program
directors, program coordinators, residents, fellows, and all others in
GME who are passionate about education and collaboration.

Conference registration opens in early November 2019.
Be sure to take advantage of the Early Bird discount
rate before January 3, 2020. Only online registrations are
accepted. Attendees must register for sessions to secure
their spot, as space is limited – the ACGME strongly
