In 2019 we are delighted to take Conference to York and Bournemouth and look forward to
welcoming you at the events.
With more than 2,000 delegates at Spring and 4,000+ attendees in the Autumn, our
Conferences are the perfect opportunity for you to meet Senior Lib Dems, engage policy-
influencers, and reach a diverse audience through the exhibition, fringe, sponsorship and
advertising opportunities.
MESSAGE FROM VINCE CABLE MP
Our Spring Conference will take place on the eve of the scheduled Brexit day. The next
few months in the run-up to it will be absolutely crucial for Britain’s future, and we Liberal
Democrats will be in a critical position to affect the outcome.
As Parliament approaches crunch votes on Brexit – and the opportunity to bring about a
People’s Vote on the final deal – our campaigning and our voice is needed more than ever.
Meanwhile, we are exposing a government which has been so totally absorbed in Brexit that
they have thought of little else. On the Conservative Party’s watch, the NHS, schools and the
police are all struggling. It needn’t be like this.
We propose a radical programme to provide:
• more opportunity for young people from nursery to university, and continued learning
through life;
• massive investment in affordable homes, opening up the opportunity of home
ownership to more and more people;
• a secure health service, with renewed focus on mental health and social care;
• and properly funded community policing to keep us all safe
Support for the Liberal Democrats is growing, with council seat gains in by-elections across the
country. Last year, we had our best council election results in 15 years and we enter this year’s
contest for 9,000 seats across England confident that we can gain further ground. At 100,000,
we are a bigger membership organisation than the Conservatives and our supporter base is
growing.

Breakdown of Attendees Conference stats
We hold two conferences every year, six months apart. The popular and lively Spring
Conference takes place over a weekend in March, while the Autumn Conference takes
Spring Conference place in September.
Both conferences have equal power to set policy and strategy. Spring Conference is an
Total 2000+ integral part of the policy making process with many debates taking place here that
feed into what is then debated and voted on at our Autumn Conference.

The Autumn 2019 fringe will be held at the Bournemouth International Centre (secure zone) and
Highcliff Marriott (HQ hotel). You can still reach our attendees by listing your fringe in our hard-copy
Directory and on the conference App for only £400 +VAT.

The Liberal Democrats host a range of corporate events both at
Autumn Conference and at our Business Day in London. These
events connect the Party to the business community, including
entrepreneurs and industry representatives.
Our events programme at Conference centres on the Business Lunch,
which attracts business leaders, entrepreneurs and senior public
affairs officials. We also offer sponsorship packages tailored to your
business needs.
Business Lunch
Our annual Business Lunch on 16th September 2019, exclusive to senior
business people, industry representatives and entrepreneurs, is a fantas-
tic opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and senior Liberal
Democrats.
The event, which was sold out in 2018, features high-profile guest speak-
ers from the business community and the political sphere. Last year, we
