Day 1: Melbourne, Essendon - Arkaroola, Flinders Ranges
Board the Outback Jet in Melbourne bound for the outback and beyond. The sheer speed of this prop-jet
aircraZ will have you in the Flinders Ranges in .me for morning tea! This aZernoon enjoy the truly
spectacular and hard to get to parts of the Flinders Ranges on board Arkaroola’s Ridge Top tour. This
evening venture up to tour the galaxy on the Observatory tour.

Day 2: Travel to Karijini/Pilbara
Today you will fly across some of the most remote country in Australia. With just a few two hour hops you
will arrive in the Pilbara in .me to check in and unwind at the Karijini Eco Retreat, your deluxe tented home
for the next two nights.
Accommoda.on for the next two nights is at the Karijini Eco Retreat (en suite luxury tents)

Day 3: Karijini NaGonal Park
Enjoy a full day with a guided explora.on of the truly spectacular gorges within the Karijini including the
Joffre Falls, a picnic lunch and an opportunity to swim at Fern Pool. Make sure you have plenty of memory
on your camera, you will need it here!

Day 4: Tom Price - Broome
Be fascinated this morning with a brief but detailed look at one of the largest open cut iron-ore mines in the
world. Lunch in town before taking off northward to Broome.

Day 5: Kimberley Coastal Cruise begins
This morning board a private charter flight over the spectacular Buccaneer Archipelago before touching
down at a remote airfield. The friendly crew from the Great Escape await your arrival to transfer you to your
luxury adventure cruise ship, your home for the next four nights. This aZernoon there is opportunity to fish,
swim in freshwater rock pools or view waterfalls from the tenders. You may just choose to sit on the
foredeck and soak in the amazing scenery in this remote part of the world.

Day 6: RaS Point
Wake up in the shadow of RaZ Point, one of the incredible geographical markers along an ancient
Aboriginal ceremonial route. A hike up to a cave filled with Wandjina pain.ngs and views over Doubeul Bay
will be very rewarding. This aZernoon visit Ruby Falls for a swim.
Day 7: Sale River
Sale River is one of the most scenic rivers in the region with .dal estuaries and spectacular sandstone
gorges. We will take the tenders for a BBQ lunch on a sandy beach under a rainforest canopy. Here you can
relax in a mul.tude of crystal clear pools fringed with ferns as the crew stokes up the fire to prepare a fresh
lunch.
Day 8: Montgomery Reef
A true wonder of the Kimberley with a rich cultural history as well as an abundance of marine life including
dugong and turtles. Your visit will be .med in with the falling .de so you can witness countless waterfalls
appear in all direc.ons.

Days 9 & 10: Great Escape - El Questro StaGon Homestead
This morning say goodbye to MV Great Escape as you reboard the Outback Jet to con.nue on to one of the
most talked about jewels in the Kimberley. El Questro Homestead is just about the finest accommoda.on in
the en.re Kimberley region, perched on the cliffs overlooking the spectacular vistas of this former ca@le
sta.on. With our former sta.on ‘Ellenbrae’ a nearby neighbour, we are very familiar with the area. For the
next two days the Wilderness Park is yours to explore. Those lucky guests that stay in the Homestead get to
experience the highlights such as Chamberlain Gorge, Zebedee Springs and at .mes when it is closed to the
general public.

Days 11 & 12: Cicada Lodge, Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge)
Cicada Lodge is a new indigenous business situated in Nitmiluk Na.onal Park, part of the Jawoyn peoples
land. Here you will experience premium cultural and sightseeing tours, accommoda.on and cuisine. A
highlight is the Nabilil dinner cruise on Katherine Gorge.

Day 13: Nitmiluk - Birdsville
Depart the Territory this morning crossing the northern Simpson Desert arriving in the iconic fron.er town
of Birdsville. A local guide will take you out to Big Red - the largest dune in the Simpson Desert for sunset
before returning to the Birdsville Hotel for a special farewell dinner.

Day 14: Birdsville - The Dig Tree - Melbourne, Essendon
A short flight from Birdsville and your pilot will land you beside the Cooper Creek and Camp 65. This is the
most significant camp site from the tragic Burke & Wills Expedi.on. Learn more about their expedi.on
while walking around the infamous Dig Tree. This aZernoon your pilot will set course southward for home.

Air Adventure Australia was created by Rod Dyer (1925-2008). Rod, a pastoralist and bush pilot of over
10,000 hours pioneered ‘Ellenbrae’ ca@le sta.on in the Kimberley back in the 1960s. It was the combina.on
of Rod’s knowledge and love of the outback and flying that led him to begin Air Adventure. Since 1977,

The Great Escape Charter Company is the crea.on of Chris Tucker and Kylie Bartle. AZer a colourful 20+
year history in Broome and the Kimberley, commercial barramundi fishing, catching crocs with the late
Malcolm Douglas and diving for pearls, it was a natural progression for Chris to begin his own charter
company. Chris, Kylie and their team are all extremely passionate about their region and their service. From

This twin prop-jet aircraZ is a fast, reliable outback machine capable of landing on gravel and remote airfields where others in larger aircraZ can’t.
