In March of 1988, Out & About Magazine made its debut. Our homegrown approach has
 been so well received that this marks our 33rd year. No complimentary magazine in
Delaware can claim such longevity.

We’re prideful of the place we call home. We’re optimistic but not hyperbolic.
Out & About is local content created by award-winning local talent. And we never run
out of stories to tell.

Though it began as a print magazine, today Out & About is a multi-platform voice that
engages its audience of 75,000+ through print, digital, social media and special events.

B  eing a storyteller during a pandemic is a unique opportunity. Throughout 2020, we departed from our
   planned editorial calendar and reported on how the worst of times was bringing out the best in many
people. Being able to share those stories is a privilege. And we will continue such storytelling through 2021.

Stories such as the front-line healthcare workers at ChristianaCare. Or the grocery store workers at ShopRite.
Stories about how a severely challenged restaurant industry chose to focus on others by donating food and
prepared meals to hospital staff unable to leave their posts. And how that same industry is reinventing itself
in this take-out economy.

Stories about ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities. Stories about how actors,
artists and musicians are presenting their talents with performance centers closed. Stories about how small
businesses—from record stores to bike shops—are finding ways to prosper.

Out & About has been around more than three decades now and trust us, there is no shortage of these stories.
