                                     Introduction
Meltdown organizes the Meltdown City Clash! Summer 2018 from Thursday, May
10th, 2018 to June 7th, 2018. The tournament will be online over five evenings, four
matches in four rounds on Thursdays on May, starting at 8pm (GMT Paris) and a final
phase in four rounds with the last match of the evening counting triple.

The number of PC stations devoted to MCC per bar is 4, in order to ensure equity
between all structures.

The prizepool of this competition is an exclusive party offered at the winning bar, valued
€1,000 minimum.

All the administrators of the bar must be present during the entire duration of the
tournament on the Meltdown Discord provided for this purpose: MCCS2018.

By participating in the tournament, each player agrees to abide by these rules and
the various platforms used for the duration of the event. Each team will have to elect its
captain, the preferred intermediary of the tournament administrator. Meltdown reserves
the right to change these rules at any time, in which case teams will be notified
via tournament administrators. In order to uphold the values of fairness and fair play within
the tournament in situations where necessary, Meltdown officials reserve the right to
take measures even when they contravene these rules.

Meltdown reserves the right to prohibit an entity from having a limited number of teams in the
same tournament, in order to ensure fairness between all competing bars in the tournament.
Team building and registration
A player may only participate through one bar. Each player must use his own Fortnite
account and must participate with the Meltdown nickname given at registration.

If you already have a team:

Your team must be composed of 4 players, the team will nominate a team captain in
charge of communication with tournament administrators. Your team members must
pre-register on the Meltdown Bar website you wish to represent and must confirm
their participation before 7:15pm (GMT Paris) to administrators on site. Teams must have
an appropriate name. Any team attempting to register for a tournament with an inappropriate
name will be invited to create a new team name to participate.

If you don't have a team:

You must pre-register on the Meltdown Bar website and confirm your participation
before 7:00pm (GMT Paris) on site. You will then be placed in a temporary team, created
on site.

Teams will be selected according to their average team level. Any team that is late will have
a forfeit for the game in which it is absent or will have to play without the late players. In a
spirit of respect for the organizers and other teams, all games must be played.
Otherwise your team will be punished.

Requirements

- At least one member of each team must understand and speak English.
- Your team must be composed of 4 players.
- Any cancellation must be done and announced at least 1 hour before the start of the
    tournament.

Behaviour during the tournament

Unsporting behaviour
Speaking in the game is allowed as long as it is respectful talk. Any violation of this rule is
considered as unsportsmanlike behaviour and will be punished.
Hacking or taking advantage of bugs
Any hack is considered a violation of the rules and may be sanctioned by disqualification of
the team. It is not allowed to intentionally use game bugs. The administrator will be entitled
to choose a sanction if such an infraction occurs.

Each player must report all bugs found immediately at the end of each game. Any player
who knowingly uses a bug or more to his advantage will be immediately disqualified from the
tournament.

Due to any possible technical problems with Fortnite or its servers, games may be
postponed by tournament officials to another day and time.

Cheating is strictly forbidden. No player shall manipulate game files, use unapproved game
modifications or any other method by which an unfair advantage over another player may be
obtained. If the player is found cheating, he will be disqualified from the tournament and
penalties may apply. In addition, we reserve the right to send suspicious information to Epic
Games, which reserves the right to permanently ban the Fortnite account if our suspicions
are confirmed.

Penalties applicable to infringements
Organizers may decide to penalize an offence with the sanction of their choice. This sanction
can be:
   - A forced forfeit
   - A suspension of a player
   - A disqualification of a team
   - A ban on our events

We invite every team that complains that they have been subjected to any illegal conduct to
report it to us with evidences. Then we can sanction the team concerned.

Any player or team encountering a problem with their game after the Custom Game creation
lobby that cannot join the game will have 15 minutes to identify and fix the problem, then be
considered disqualified. Meltdown cannot be held responsible for any bugs, malfunctions or
instability of the game or user devices.
