intro miart is a fair conceived as a platform fostering dialogues
between contemporary art, modern art and collectible
                                          design.

In 2019, miart hosted 185 galleries from 19 countries, with
an exhibition format that brings together international
contemporary artists, post-war masters, emerging talents
                                          and experimental design.

miart is the Italian art fair with the broadest chronological
offering of artworks, spanning the period from the early
years of the 20th century to works by the most recent
generations: through its 5 sections, miart encourages
interaction between different creative disciplines, and
                                          between history and the present.

Every spring, the rich programme of awards, an ambitious
series of talks and exclusive VIP events bring over 60
directors and curators of international museums, 250
collectors and over 12,000 VIP visitors to Milan.

The 25th edition of miart will once again be the catalyst
for Milano Art Week, the week-long schedule of newly
commissioned exhibitions, openings and events involving
Milan’s most prestigious public and private institutions,
foundations and galleries, plus non-profit and independent
spaces —all of whom make Milan a favourite cultural
destination for art lovers, collectors and professionals.
