Congratulations and Welcome to the 5th annual Mr. Mayhem Leather Contest!
Everyone who enters the Mr. Mayhem Leather competition not only represents their home bar or
club, city, state, region or country but also who they are as a bear, cub, Leatherman or in-between. There is
no secret plan or anything to win the Mr. Mayhem Leather, this contest is about being your self and
showing everyone who you are as a person.
The winner of Mr. Mayhem Leather Contest is generally a deemed a symbolic representative and
spokesman for Shooting Starr Productions, Bears, Bikers and Mayhem, and other bear/leather groups
named in this package. It is therefore imperative that his character is seen to be exemplary. The winner of
Mr. Mayhem Leather is allowed to consume alcoholic beverages at events that he is attending as Mr.
Mayhem Leather but shall not overly consume that he is disrespectful, harmful or show badly to Shooting
Starr Productions, Bears, Bikers and Mayhem or any other bear/leather group named in this package.
Enclosed/Attached are several forms which we need you to complete in order to begin your
application process. The deadline for the receipt of your Application is March 6, 2018 It is critical that these
forms be received at our office no later than the deadline in order for you to compete at the 5th annual Mr.
Mayhem Leather Contest.
Note: ** It is suggested that each contestants plan on being at the hotel on Friday as early as
possible. The contests will begin in the afternoon on Friday with a contestant Meeting, then going into
Meet the Meat, as well with registration for the event Bears, Bikers and Mayhem.**
REGISTRATION FEE:
There is no registration fee to compete for the title of Mr. Mayhem Leather. The Mr. Mayhem Leather
competition has a limited number of contestants spots please get your applications in to insure your spot.

Contestant Application
Contest Dates: April 6-8, 2018
Your application must be received at the Shooting Starr Production office March 6, 2018
REGULATIONS, RULES AND GUIDELINES
Congratulations and welcome to the Mayhem family! We hope that you are excited about competing and
we’re glad you’ll be part of the Mr. Mayhem Leather Contest. Once you have read this application carefully
and you have provided all of the information required, please send this application to the address shown
below or turn in to Alan Bender in person.
1. To compete in the Mr. Mayhem Leather Contest, contestants must legally identify as male, be 21 years
of age or older as of the day that register for Mr. Mayhem Leather and reside in the U.S. In order to
verify your eligibility to compete, you must bring your government issued photo identification (driver’s
license, state ID or passport) with you to the Contestant Registration in Gettysburg, PA. A copy will be
placed with your application. All contestants must reside in the US.
2. Contestant applications must be received by Shooting Starr Productions as soon as possible, but no later
than March 6, 2018. Upon receipt of your full application Shooting Starr Productions will send a
confirmation email informing you that we have received your application.
3. Contestants Do Not receive a free run passes to Bears, Bikers and Mayhem. We can offer a discounted
rate for a contestants run pass, to receive this discounted rate the contestant needs the discounted
code that only the producers of the contest can supply. Before a discounted code will be given the
contestant must fill out our discounted code agreement and turn it in to Alan Bender. Contestants are
not required to purchase a run pass to the event, but is suggested. If no run pass is purchased
contestants will only be allowed entry into the contest portion of the weekend, contestants will need to
be escorted into the contest portions of the weekend by a producer of the contests, once the contest
portion is over the contestant will be escorted to a public area. Non run pass holder contestants will not
be included in meals, transportation or certain parties during the weekend.
4. Mr. Mayhem Leather Contestants are required to provided all information in this application. While at
the Contestant Registration in Gettysburg, Pa you will be required to sign a Contestant Agreement and
Contestant Photo Release Form stating that you will appear at all official Mr. Mayhem Leather events,
including, but not limited to: Contestant Registration/Orientation, and all contest category’s. Failure to
appear as scheduled may result in deducing of points or up to disqualification. The producers of the
contests reserve the right to remove a contestant from the competition at any time, for any cause.
5. The contest will have five to nine Judges, and appoint a Tally Master, Judge Coordinator/Boy, and Den
Daddy. The Tally Master is in charge of managing the calculation and scores from the judges. The Den
Daddy will be in charge of contestants, helping to assistance and to answer questions.
6. The Mr. Mayhem Leather Contest will be using the Olympic Scoring system, meaning the highest
and lowest scores are dropped and the middle remaining scores are used to determine the winner of the
contest. In the event that there is a tie between contestants, the highest and lowest scores will be added
back into the contest, to determine a winner. If in the rare event that by adding the lowest and highest
scores back into the contest there is still a tie, all judges will come together to ask one final onstage
question. The contestant that gives the best answer will be determined the winner by the head judge.
7. Contestants Numbers will be drawn by the contestants, at the contestant meeting on Friday afternoon. A
badge with your contestant number will be given and must be worn at all times to identify you to the judges
for scoring.
8. Once we receive your application the producers of the contests will release the schedule of events for the
contest to you when the schedule has been finalized. If a contestant is late for a schedule meeting time of a
category, admissive points will be taken from the contestant score. Each contest category will begin on time,
the only exception to this rule will be if waiting for the audience. A map of the hotel will be given out at the
contestant meeting.
9. Contestants and Judges may fraternize informally in public situations during the contest. Private meetings
between Judge and contestants during the contest (Friday and Saturday) is prohibited. Any sexual contact
between Judges and contestants during the weekend (Friday and Saturday) is absolutely prohibited. Any
contestants or Judge found violating this rule, they will be disqualified.
10. Contestants are allowed to drink alcohol throughout the contest. But should limit their alcohol
consumption before a category so not to effect their ability to compete.
11. At any given time the producers of the contests may change or add any rules or responsibilities. When
there has been a change the producers of the contest will notify the title holder as soon as possible.

Prizes and Responsibilities
Congratulations on Winning the 5th annual Mr. Mayhem Leather Contest . With the title you receive some
great prizes as well as Responsibilities with the Title of Mr. Mayhem Leather 2018. (Year)
The following is a list of
items donated to you from Shooting Starr Productions and our sponsors. (the list of prizes may change,
items may be added on to the list until the time of the contest as prizes):
-A medallion bearing their title and year on the back
-Mr. Mayhem Leather receives Sponsorship to their choice of wither the Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather
competition or International Mr. Leather Competition (TBA)
-Sponsorship includes Travel, Hotel Stay (Friday, Saturday and Sunday Night) and Registration.
-Free Run Package to Bears, Bikers and Mayhem in 2019
-Half your room paid (Friday and Saturday), for Bears, Bikers and Mayhem at the host hotel.
-Leather Shall by Wolfstryker leather that will be handed down to the next Mr. Mayhem Leather Bear at
Bears Bikers and Mayhem in 2019. (The sash remains the property of the Mr. Mayhem Leather Bear
Contest and must be returned when the title is passed on or should the winner otherwise relinquish the
title).
-Leather Back Patch made by Wolfstrker Leather.

$ 250.00 the night of your give up title at Bears, Bikers and Mayhem on
Saturday after the Mr. Mayhem Contests are completed.
*Items maybe added to the prize package up until the day of the contest.
As with any Title, it comes with responsibilities. We ask that you hold the title of Mr. Mayhem Leather with
pride and respect. With the title of Mr. Mayhem Leather, we do not want it to feel over powering but to
enjoy your reign as Mr. Mayhem Leather, the following events are what we are asking to you attend and
promote your title.Must Attend the following Events
Attend Bears, Bikers and Mayhem, where you will be on the Judges panel at the next Mr. Mayhem
Contests (TBA)
Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather or International Mr. Leather (date (s) TBA)
Note: In the event you do not show or compete at the Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather or International Mr. Leather competition without
contacting the producers with reasoning before one (1) month prior to the competition, the producers of the contests have the right
to charge you for ANY money paid on your behalf for the weekend and competition (Hotel Stay etc.). It will also be at the discretion
of the Mr. Mayhem Leather contest producers to review your reasoning and determine if your reasoning's excuse you from not
competing at your next level competition. In the event the producers of the contests sees your reasoning is not excused, you will be
unable to fulfill your responsibility as Mr. Mayhem Leather and the title will be striped of you and all moneys and items that have
been paid out or won will be repaid and given back to the producers of the Mr. Mayhem Leather contest.
Fundraisers: The winner is required to do a minimum of 2 (two) fundraising event during his title year,
both fundraisers will help raise money for the Mr. Mayhem Leather and Mr. Mayhem Leather Bear
Contests.
Note: if the required 2 (two) fundraising events are not completed by your title give up at the Bears, Bikers and Mayhem weekend,
the producers of the contests and Bears, Bikers and mayhem are not required to hand over the remaining balance of your winnings.
This is at the discretion of the producers of the Mr. Mayhem Leather and Mr. Mayhem Leather Bear Contests. Mr. Mayhem Leather
and Mr. Mayhem Leather Bear can ask for assistance in fundraising planning from the producers of the Mr. Mayhem Leather and
Mr. Mayhem Leather Bear Contests
There may be other events options that you may be asked to appear at from the board. These will be at
your own decision.
In the event that you are unable to attend any of these events you must contact Alan Bender either by
emails at shydude83@gmail.com or by phone at (717) 994-8850, as soon as possible.

Mayhem Leather. I understand if I am unable to fulfill my responsibilities as Mr. Mayhem Leather that I must
give all prizes given to me back that I had received from winning Mr. Mayhem Leather 2018 and all items will
be given to my 1st Alt. If unable to give back all money and prizes that are asked from me, I understand that I
can be banned from running in another contests that may be held by Shooting Starr Productions, Bears,
Bikers and Mayhem, Capital City Bears, and The Pennsmen Inc. I also am aware that at any given time my title
of Mr. Mayhem Leather can be taken from me if for any reason the organizations listed above find any of my
actions to be disrespectful or harmful to others.
At any given time the producers of the contests may change or add any rules or responsibilities. When
there has been a change the producers of the contest will notify the title holder as soon as possible.*

Personal Interview: 0-30 Possible Points
Personal Interview is not open to the public. Each contestant will be brought in one at a time. A Time
limit for the personal interview will be 7-10 minutes or one round of questions from the judges. There will a
time keeper to make sure each contestants get the same amount of time with the judges.
Judges will have the Contestant Profile in their binders to help with questions. Contestants should be
judged on their ability to speak, their comfort level, and how they present their self in a interview setting.
Interview is casual dress for the contestants they are allowed to wear attire that they are comfortable in.
Meet the Meat: 0-20 Possible Points
Meet the Meat is a social interaction category of the contest. All contestants will be scored on their
comfort level in an social event. Contestants are asked to wear what they normally would wear while out on
the town for either one of their Club social events or in their bar ware.
Judges should observe the contestants in their social environment. Contestants should be scored on
how well they interact with others (friends, strangers and judges), their comfort level in a social environment,
how they represent their selves to others, their respectfulness to others and how outgoing they are.
On-stage Question: 0-35 Possible Points
Each contestant will choose one random question from the emcee, on the stage. The contestants will
have the ability to read the question to their selves, once the contestant is ready he will hand the question to
the emcee to read the question out loud. Once the question is read out loud the mic will be handed to the
contestant for their reply to the question.
Each contestant may wear their same outfit from the meet the meat or have the ability to change
into an new outfit. Contestants should be judged on their ability to understand the question and their ability
to answer their question properly.
Physique: 0-15 Possible Points
The Physique portion of the contest is in the theme of Wet Jock Strap. Each contestant must bring a
swimming suite to wear over their jockstrap. Each contestant will have their choice of jockstrap, style and
color. Contestants will be entering the hotel pool, any type of clothing may become discolored from the
water. Just as a reminder the physic portion isn't judged as a fashion show or a body competition, contestants
should be judged on their comfort level, their body language, fit of jock and how well they react to surprise
situations.
Formal Leather: 0-20 Possible Points
Each contestant will wear their choice of Formal leather. Contestants will be called on stage one at a
time. Contestants will be able to model them selves in their Formal Leather. Once all contestants have had a
chance to show off their individual Formal Leather, All Contestants will be called back on stage for a
comparison look. All contestants will do 4 quarter turns clock wise.
Contestants should be judged on the fit of their formal leatherwear, how they represent their selves,
the cleanness of their leather and their comfort level.Scoring
The Mr. Mayhem Leather Contest shall have a Tally Master, the Tally Master will be in charge of
collecting all scores sheets from Judges. Once each category is done the Tally Master and producers of the
contests will then enter all scores into a spread sheet to be added together. The Tally Master will be given
the spread sheet on a flash drive that he/she will keep with them at all times, until the contest is over and a
winner is determined.

Judges comments. This will help any of the contestant to better their selves if entering into an other contest
in the future.
Administration Points
Each contestants will receive 100 extra points, called administration points, at the start of the contest.
A certain amount of these points will be subtracted for varies of different reasons such as, contestant is late
for a category, does not have paper work done or handed in, unprofessional behaviors, etc. Point deductions
is at the discretion of the Mr. Mayhem Leather producers or agreed on by the Judges.
Contestants Score Sheets
An electronic scan of each contestant score sheets will be sent out to the contestant by email.
Contestants will receive their scores and Judges comments by May 1st. The producers of the contests will
retype all Judges comments for contestants and will be attached with score sheets. Individual contest
category score sheets will look like the following:

An electronic scan of the master score sheet will be sent out along with the contestants score sheets
by May 1st. Because privacy is important to us, the master sheet will only have your name and scores and all
contestants grand total scores for comparisons uncovered. A sample of the what the master score sheet will

Conflicts with Scoring
In the event that a contestant feels there was a error in calculating the score of the Mr. Mayhem
Leather Contest. A contestant must give their concerns in writing to the producers of the Mr. Mayhem
Leather Contest. The producers of the contests will recalculate all the scores twice, and the producers of the
contest will reply in writing to the contestants concern. In the event a contestant doesn't agree with scoring,
the producers of the contests will speak with all Judges and bring the concerns to their knowledge and once a
decision on the topic has been agreed upon, the producers of the contests will reply to the individual on the
