Mr. Wolf – 2018 Information Packet The Mr. Wolf competition is intended to showcase our senior boys and their various talents. We are accepting one submission per club/sport team to represent TERRA Environmental Research Institute. The chosen senior will embody the unique characteristics of TERRA and shine light on their respective club. There will be an informational meeting in the Cafetorium on Wednesday January 24th for any Senior male interested in competing for the crown. All interested participants will audition their talent on Thursday, February 1st , 2018 in the Cafetorium. Eight seniors will be chosen to perform in the Mr. Wolf Show on Thursday, March 7th, 2018. A panel of judges, comprised of teachers, will assign scores according to the following categories: • Talent • Formal Wear • Casual Wear • Swimwear • Interview • Character Appeal The winner will receive: The Mr. Wolf Crown and two free Prom tickets for him and his date.

Who is Mr. Wolf? “Mr. Wolf” is a TERRA male senior who embodies the values and traditions of
TERRA as a whole; a “super” superlative, so-to-speak. This young gentleman is articulate,
intelligent, and friendly. He represents the best in every TERRA student and incorporates our core
values.
Who is eligible?
Any male senior TERRA student nominated by a club or sport
Has at least a 2.5 GPA
Has NO outstanding high school financial obligation
Is in compliance with TERRA Activities Contract (attendance/conduct policy/probation)
Up to date with all administrative paperwork
Purpose:
To showcase the talents of TERRA’s male seniors
To provide an event where TERRA clubs can advertise their existence and purpose
To offer a light-hearted and fun evening for TERRA students
To raise funds for the Class of 2018 events (Prom, Grad Bash, Senior Activities)

Mr. Wolf – 2018 Contestant Requirements
1. Club Nomination
a. Senior male TERRA student (contestant) must be nominated by a TERRA Club or Sport.
They will be known as that club’s name, for example, Mr. Key Club, Mr. Soccer, etc.).
b. It is expected that each contestant will know the goals and mission of the club or organization
they represent.
c. Nomination packets must be submitted to Mrs. Gonzalez by Wednesday January 31st, 2018.
2. Meetings – All nominees must attend the following meetings:
a. Informational Meeting: January 24th, 2018 at 2:30 PM ------ Cafetorium
i. General meeting to go over all of the rules/requirements for participation.
b. Talent Audition: February 1st, 2018 at 2:30 PM ------ Cafetorium
i. Nominees will perform their talent to the judges. It will be an open audition, any
student can watch.
ii. 8 seniors will be chosen to compete for the Mr. Wolf crown.
c. Dance Rehearsals: Beginning February 6th, 2018 and will run every Tuesdays and Thursdays
until the event date. Emeralds and Cheerleaders will assist to make sure all nominees learn
their parts.
d. Dress Rehearsals: March 2nd - 6th, 2018 at 2:30 PM ------ Cafetorium
i. Rehearsals and full run-through of the show.
3. Entourage – Each nominee must have at least 10 fans in the audience to support them during the
show.
a. They will advise them in dress, posture, voice articulation, and overall appearance.
b. These fans must show their support in an obvious way (signs, shirts, etc.). Your fans must buy
their own ticket and nominees cannot share fans.
4. Video Footage
a. Each club is asked to videotape their representative and his entourage when they advise or
coach their candidate. This raw video footage will be used in an opening segment montage at
the Mr. Wolf Contest. All raw footage should be submitted on a USB with your club name.
Videotape your candidate “practicing” for the contest. Videotape your discussions and/or
your coaching sessions.
b. Video footage is due February 6th, 2018.
5. Casual Wear – Weekend Wear
a. No offensive clothing (drugs, gangs, explicit language, etc.)Mr. Wolf – 2018

6. Swimwear / Beachwear – Nominees
a. Shirt / Tank-top is required, and accessories (beach balls, umbrellas, etc.) are allowed
b. Bottoms must be knee-length shorts
c. Clothing cannot be removed at any point during the show
7. Formal Wear – Dress to impress
a. No sneakers
b. Tie, Bow-tie, Ascot (if you’re fancy)
c. Blazer is optional
8. Character Appeal – A person of reference
a. Nominee will invite one person to come onstage & appeal to the audience why they (the
contestant) should be crowned Mr. Wolf.
b. It can be anybody (Parent, Sibling, Friend, Teacher, etc.), but must be approved.
c. Appeal must be written out and turned in for approval by February 26th, 2018.
d. Cannot exceed 2 minutes
9. Talent – All nominees must have a talent. It does not have to relate to their club. Be Creative!
a. Examples: Singing, Dancing, Juggling, Acting, etc. (No inappropriate behavior – ex: twerking).
b. You can have a maximum of 3 people on stage (including nominee) to assist with the talent.
c. Must not exceed 3 minutes.
10. Interviews – During each of the “wear” segments, the nominee will be asked a question. Nominee
will not know the questions prior to the show.
11. Miscellaneous – Odds & Ends
a. Nominee must bring all music, outfits and other items with them
b. Nominee will be tested to see if he knows the TERRA Alma Mater
