DICKSON TENNIS nominated for
Coach of the YEAR.
David Dickson and Kat Kelly making up the team of Dickson Tennis
have been nominated for Coach of the Year by myself.
After being at Sunshine Tennis Club for three and a half years and
having seen up close what a difference they have made for junior
tennis at the club and the vast improvement some of our adult players
who have sought out their coaching skills have made, they would be
worthy winners.
If you would like to support David and Kat and attend the awards night
in Launceston on Saturday 31st August , let me know and perhaps we
can make up a table of 10 and hence get the lower cost of $60 per
head rather than $70 (18 years of age and under tickets $35).
See the following details and ring me on 0400 974 056 if you would
like to attend as a group.

winners and runner ups.
Junior Development Series Tournament:
STC successfully hosted the JDS block on Sunday 9 June. The
tournament was well-attended, with match play completed on all 6
courts. Kat Kelly is commended for her hard work in promoting,
organising and directing the tournament.
STC volunteers were kept busy for much of the day in the Clubroom
kitchen and on the BBQ. A small profit, nett of purchases of food
supplies and contribution towards tournament running costs (trophies,
tennis balls etc), was realised for the Club.
At the last committee meeting thanks were extended to the Club
volunteers for their valued work in catering for the tournament.
Entertainment BooksThe clubs thanks go to Alanna Rolph for all her hard work
in securing sales of nearly 50 Entertainment Books which must be a
record for the club.
