Message from the Director
The COVID‐19 pandemic has certainly affected us all in many ways. Throughout the passed year, the Parks & Recrea‐
on staff have con nued to offer programs through Zoom and in person. We also assisted senior ci zens with grocery shop‐
ping and ge ng appointment for the COVID‐19 vaccina ons.
Now, as restric ons have eased, we are moving ahead toward normalcy! Pre‐schoolers through seniors are returning to pro‐
grams. We are serving lunch to the seniors. Camp Menunkatuck will be at Jacobs Beach. Get Out Way Out trip camp for teens
is back. Concerts at the Beach and on the Green will feature outstanding bands. Lake Quonnipaug and Jacobs Beach will be
open Memorial Day weekend. Fireworks are scheduled for July 10.

Pickleball players will be thrilled to know we will be construc ng 4 new courts at Bi ner Park. We an cipate comple‐
 on by September.
A Health & Wellness Fair co‐sponsored with Guilford Youth & Family Services will be held on the Green June 12 from
11:00AM—2:00PM.
We are thrilled to bring our programs & events back to the community. Stay well and join us this summer.
