BLANCK MASS "In Ferneaux" (SACRED SBR267 CD/ LP
BLANCK MASS "In Ferneaux (magenta)” (SACRED SBR267LPC1 LP
February 26 street date. "In Ferneaux" explores pain in motion, building audio-spatial chambers of experience and
memory. Using an archive of field recordings from a decade of global travels, isolation gave Blanck Mass an
opportunity to make connections in a moment when being together is impossible. The record is divided into two
long-form journeys that gather the memories of being with now-distant others through the composition of a
nostalgic travelogue. The journeys are haunted with the vestiges of voices, places, and sensations. These scenes
alternate with the building up and releasing of great aural tension, intensities that emerge from the trauma of a
personal grieving process which has perhaps embraced its rage moment. With "In Ferneaux", Blanck Mass wrangles
the immanent materials of the here-and-now to build a sense of transcendence. Here, the uncanny angelic hymn sits
comfortably beside the dirge. The misery and blessing are one.

are often credited with shaping the entire death metal genre, pushing boundaries with their shocking imagery whilst evolving
and innovating with each new album. "Swansong" is their sixth album, originally released in 1996.

BLACK GOAT vinyl)"
March 12 street date. "Dies Occidendum" is a mythical voyage across fog-laden, scorched earth terrain from the
original friar of dark hip hop, DJ Muggs The Black Goat. Known and revered as the sonic mastermind behind both
Cypress Hill and his own Soul Assassins imprint, here Muggs sheds the MCs and presents his latest dark-soaked
productions as an illuminated manuscript of sorts; a fully immersive, instrumental soundtrack to the mysterious
"Dies Occidendum". No one wields the Excalibur of sonic darkness quite like Muggs. Combining ingredients of
psych rock, gypsy folk with modern elements of trap, forged together under layers of his signature sonic grime,
Muggs has created yet another blueprint for the utmost sonic menace and macabre. The Renaissance is upon us.
      Long live King Muggs.

EL MICHELS AFFAIR "Yeti Season (BIG CROWN) BCR060LPDLXC4 LP
                             (LP+book/red vinyl)"
March 26 street date. Fresh off of their 2020 offering "Adult Themes", El Michels Affair is back with a new full-
length release. Titled "Yeti Season", this newest album has everything we've come to expect from EMA's patented
cinematic style of instrumental soul music. Where "Adult Themes" inspired a soundtrack to an imaginary film,
"Yeti Season" brings us to a different place in time - with new inspirations. Taken with Turkish-styled funk and an
almost Mumbai-esque take on soul, El Michels Affair offers us a different kind of drama and imagination with "Yeti
Season". If you've been following along, this shouldn't be viewed as too far a departure for El Michels Affair. It's a
heavy album - as evidenced by the signature musicianship and dramatic vocal expressions. But it's also a hopeful
record, with phrasings, textures, and chord changes that hint at something better - or fuller -coming our way. The
limited edition deluxe version comes with a 50 page children's book inspired by the album.
MADLIB "Sound Ancestors (MADLIB MMS044 CD/ LP
                             (arranged by Kieran Hebden)"
March 5 street date. Gil Evans to Miles Davis.... Holger Czukay to the ensemble known as Can....Jean Claude
Vannier to Serge Gainsbourg on "Histoire de Melody Nelson". That's the only way to explain the specificity of
Four Tet and Madlib's collaboration, in this special album that showcases a two-decade long friendship that has
resulted in an album that follows Madlib's classics like Quasimoto's "The Unseen", "Madvillainy" and his "Pinata"
and "Bandana" albums with Freddie Gibbs. "A few months ago I completed work on an album with my friend
Madlib that we'd been making for the last few years. He is always making loads of music in all sorts of styles and I
was listening to some of his new beats and studio sessions when I had the idea that it would be great to hear some
of these ideas made into a Madlib solo album. Not made into beats for vocalists to use but instead arranged into
tracks that could all flow together in an album designed to be listened to start to finish. I put this concept to him
when we were hanging out eating some nice food one day and we decided to work on this together with him
sending me tracks, loops, ideas and experiments that I would arrange, edit, manipulate and combine. I was sent
hundreds of pieces of music over a couple of years stretch and during that time I put together this album with all the
parts that fitted with my vision" - Kieren Hebden aka Four Tet.
NO USE FOR A NAME "Rarities Vol. 2: The (FAT WRECK) FAT973 CD/ LP
                              Originals"
February 12 street date. When it comes to classic Fat Wreck bands No Use For A Name certainly need no
introduction, but here's the scoop: they were one of the first bands on Fat Wreck Chords and remain a cornerstone of
the label roster. Their unique take on California punk emphasized equally innovative and catchy melody, paired
with top-flight musicianship. Despite the tragic passing of singer and songwriter Tony Sly in 2012, their presence
can still be felt today, as their influence is evident in the work of many other artists. Fat Wreck recently unearthed
some demos and early versions of some of the best No Use For A Name songs. The response was unanimous -
people must hear these! So alas, we bring you "Rarities Vol. 2: The Originals". Side A gets the listener hooked
immediately with rare versions of songs that have only appeared on compilations. The B-side contains never-before
heard demos from the classic NUFAN album "Hard Rock Bottom".
NOFX "Single Album" (FAT WRECK) FAT114 CD/ LP
February 26 street date (CD)/March 19 street date (LP). After nearly 40 years, what is left to say about NOFX? Can
a band continue to shake it up after almost four decades as a band? The answer to this question lies on "Single
Album", the quartet's 14th full-length studio album. It is, as frontman and bassist Fat Mike describes, "a dark
album". That wasn't the original intent. By early 2020, NOFX had written and recorded enough songs for a planned
double album to be released that fall. Like so much about 2020, those plans changed. The band decided they had
fell short of making the perfect double album, so they scrapped some tracks, and condensed it down to one solid
single album. Hence the title. Recorded at Motor Studios in San Francisco with Bill Stevenson and Jason
Livermore (Rise Against, Alkaline Trio), "Single Album" gets more personal than NOFX ever has before. The
result of these 10 tracks is a NOFX album that is both familiar and unpredictable traits that legions of adoring fans
have grown to love about the band.
SCHULTZ, WESLEY "Vignettes" (DUALTONE) DUA2228 CD/ LP
February 26 street date. "Vignettes" sees Wesley Schultz, the 2x GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer-songwriter-
guitarist and co-founder of The Lumineers, exploring his myriad influences and early inspirations with a series of
starkly beautiful cover versions spanning such legendary artists as Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Sheryl Crow,
Jim Croce, Derek and the Dominos, and Warren Zevon.

SMERZ "Believer" (XL XL1076LP LP
February 26 street date. Smerz are the Nowegian duo of Henriette Motzfeldt and Catharina Stoltenberg. The duo,
who produce, write, direct and conceptualize all their own work, carve out a space where it's not so impossible for
dreams, both big and small, to grow in the midst of the systemic societal weeds that tangle up people's self-worth
and confidence. With "Believer", their 2021 debut full-length album on XL Recordings, they formalize the
boundless sonic world that started to emerge within each of their debut EP's and in their running NTS monthly
        residency. Are you a Believer?

                             (Bumble Bee Crown King) (coloured"
March 5 street date. With no touring in 2020, and possibly this year, Woods decided to take a deep dive into their
archives and put together the first volume of their much discussed archival series, "Reflections". Featuring rare and
unreleased recordings from 2009-2013, including a ghost town desert jam off the side of the highway, their first live
performance in Big Sur, the first recorded version of "Bend Beyond" and some shelved diamonds in the rough that
were finished up during quarantine. Their hope is that it plays like a "lost record" from an extremely strange and
         fruitful period in Woods history.

FALL "Live At St. Helens (CASTLE FACE) CF133 LP
                            Technical College '81 (LP+7-inch)"
February 19 street date. First official release of this live show from the legendary post-punk band, from early in their
career. Made with the blessing of all those still living associated with this line-up and show. 50% of profits go to
Centrepoint, which helps the homeless youth in Manchester, UK. "Live Fall performances are always a pleasure
because they seem to take what already made the Fall great and push it even a bit more into the rough and bloody
uncharted wasteland that is drug scorched proto-punk and heady political poetry. So, it is with great pleasure that
we introduce this Fall bootleg soundboard recording to you. Recorded during one of the many strong points in the
bands vast and mighty history. They really burn bright here and bring every ounce of what you expect from this
         formidable force" - John Dwyer.
FEUERSTACK, "Harmonize The Moon (FORWARD FMG090 LP
MICHAEL (180g)"
March 19 street date. All over Montreal Michael Feuerstack’s latest record, Harmonize the Moon, time—and its
inherent illusory nature—is incredibly elastic. Some moments seem to stretch on forever; others are illuminated
only briefly, like fiery embers popping into the sky, extinguished just as quickly as they’re recognized. While
Feuerstack arranged and recorded Harmonize the Moon completely solo at his apartment in the spring of 2020, the
songs that compose it were written over the past couple years, on wanderings and tours as well as at home. He
embarked on a slow process of balancing the poetic with the narrative, producing songs that flow naturally instead
of adhering too rigidly to established forms. The result is a collection that’s pensive but playful, introspective yet
generous, and achingly intimate. The tone is tentatively hopeful throughout. Over deliberately thrummed acoustic
guitar and minimal drums, Feuerstack moves slowly and with intention, rendering his transmissions in intimate
arrangements and his warm, expressive voice.
FREELOVE FENNER "The Punishment Zone" (CELLULOID MR040 LP
February 5 street date. Montreal art pop group Freelove Fenner release their long-awaited album, The Punishment
Zone. The 14-song collection is an exercise in pleasing sounds, diaphanous textures, and concise song structure.
The group listened to a century's worth of experimental, often cacophonous sounds and reshaped it into a mellow
pop music. The group’s workshop is the strictly analog Bottle Garden Studio, a small room full of tape machines
and homemade equipment that is integral to the group’s sound and process. Avoiding 21st century technology not
out of any sort of snobbery or nostalgia but rather a desire to avoid the work habits inherent with contemporary
tools, the band embraces the different results that come with a slower, more tactile process: the happy accidents; the
absence of visual stimuli (no screens); the difficulty in attaining high gloss finishes. Freelove Fenner have released
two EPs, In the Bottle Garden (2009), and Pineapple Hair EP (2012); as well as the full-length album Do Not
Affect a Breezy Manner (2013), all on Montreal’s Fixture Records. The Punishment Zone will be released on
Arizona’s minimal art label Moone Records (via Celluloid Lunch in Canada), joining an eclectic roster featuring
artists like Tori Kudo, John Dieterich, Little Wings, Lithics, and others. Recommended if you like: Tonto’s
Expanding Head Band, Broadcast, Robert Wyatt, Brian Eno, White Noise, The United States of America, The
      Free Design, Godley and Creme.
LNZNDRF "II (clear white vinyl)" (LNZNDRF) LNZ002LPC1 LP
January 29 street date. LNZNDRF's "II" is a mass hypnotism, somehow both thunderous and trance-inducing.
Recorded in extensive, shamanistic jam sessions at Austin's Public Hi-Fi in September 2019 and later edited down
to give it shape, these songs feel like Right Now, with some toes testing the waters of the future. The brothers
Scott and Bryan Devendorf (The National), Ben Lanz (The National, Beirut) and multi-instrumentalist Aaron Arntz
(Beirut, Grizzly Bear) are in headlamps and spelunking gear, descending into a somnambulant space. Its
incantations seem to beckon the dystopia of present day as much as they beckon the Big Mystery awaiting us when
we finally bust through its barrier.
MOORE FAMILY BAND "Missy" (ASIAN MAN) AM365 LP
February 5 street date. The Moore Family Band - comprised of siblings Alyssa (lead vocals), Randy (guitar/bass),
and Dylan Moore (drums/back-up vocals) - delivers sunny, propulsively catchy alt-rock while layering on the kinds
of dueling guitars and perfectly judged harmonies that might be more at home on a 1980s metal record. Earlier this
year, the siblings found the COVID-19 pandemic at first disorienting, then unifying as the Moores spent quarantine
writing songs together. Their forthcoming debut record "Missy", named after the family dog, came naturally as all
three channeled influences like Weezer, Joan Jett, Green Day, Blondie, and Alkaline Trio into a rock 'n' roll record
capable of standing toe-to-tapping-toe with early cuts from those genre forefathers.
PAINTED SHRINES "Heaven And Holy (colour)” (WOODSIST) WOODSIST100 LP
March 5 street date. Jeremy Earl (Woods) and Glenn Donaldson (Skygreen Leopards, The Reds, Pinks & Purples)
met sometime in the mid-oughts and bonded over a love of tambourines and DIY sounds. They shared many stages
since, and their first serious collaboration was on the 2011 Woods album "Sun & Shade". Around 2018, Earl was
restless in upstate NY and accepted an invite to record in Donaldson's studio in an undisclosed rural coastal town in
Northern California. In a week they emerged with nearly an album's worth of hazy folk-rock and psych-pop with
touches of more outré lo-fi noise. Jeff Moller (The Papercuts) added bass, and they put the finishing touches on
during quarantine. "Heaven And Holy" ebbs and flows like coastal fog between songs and dreamy instrumentals,
splitting the difference between The Clean's "Unknown Country" and The Byrds' "Fifth Dimension".
RAT COLUMNS "Pacific Kiss (black vinyl)" (TOUGH LOVE) TLV134LP LP
RAT COLUMNS "Pacific Kiss (pastel pink)” (TOUGH LOVE) TLV134LPX LP
February 19 street date. ‘Pacific Kiss’ is the fourth album from Australian musician David West's underground pop
band, Rat Columns. It sees Rat Columns plunging headfirst into an azure sea of power pop, rock 'n' roll and indie.
The tones are bright and optimistic, though fans of confusion and gloom will still find solace in the album's darker
moments, of which there are a few. Rat Columns emerged from San Francisco via Perth, in the late 2000s with the
mope 'n' jangle of their first self-titled cassette release. From that moment, DW and a constantly evolving troupe of
friends and co-conspirators have forged a persistent trail of albums and EP's. ‘Pacific Kiss’ is a record for those
astral voyages into the spheres conducted from bedrooms, kitchens, grassy fields and open car windows. Pastel pink
vinyl edition is limited to 250 copies. Black vinyl limited to 500 copies.
STONE, ADAM / DEAD "Dataland" (FEEDING TUBE) FTR590LP LP
SEA APES /
February 5 street date. Dataland is a collaboration with Black Tempest and Adam Stone, achieved mainly through
internet data transfer during the Covid lockdown of 2020. A meditation upon the average existence of a "developed-
world" human in the early 21st century. This six-song collection is a fusion of electronica, monologue, "real
drums", and guitar, and was recorded at various locations in sad old England over the last two years or so.
VANILLE "Soleil ‘96" (RETURN TO RTA086 LP
January 29 street date. Soleil 96 is the debut full length album from singer songwriter Rachel Leblanc. Produced by
Emmanuel Éthier (Corridor, Chocolat) the album showcases bewitching melodies, and a unique fusion of 60s rock
      and french pop.

ALMIGHTY "Powertrippin' (2CD expanded)” (HEAR NO EVIL) HNECD148D CD
February 26 street date. Although initially inspired by punk, when Scottish school friends Stump Monroe (drums),
Floyd London (bass) and Ricky Warwick (guitar, vocals) joined forces with guitarist Tantrum in 1988, they chose
a harder rocking, heavy metal sound. Snapped up by Polydor Records for 1989 debut "Blood, Fire & Love", their
more punk infused aggressive approach was a welcome relief from the glam orientated sounds imported from across
the Atlantic. This was followed by "Soul Destruction" in 1991, and then "Powertrippin'" in 1993. The album was
also the first album to feature guitarist Pete Friesen, replacing original member, Tantrum. As well as the singles
‘Addiction’, ‘Over The Edge’ and ‘Out Of Season’, this expanded, deluxe reissue of "Powertrippin'" includes the
B-Sides ‘Blind’, ‘Bodies’ (originally by the Sex Pistols), ‘Insomnia’, ‘In A Rut’ (originally by The Ruts) and
‘Fuckin' Up’ (originally by Neil Young and Crazy Horse). Live versions of ‘Takin’ Hold’, and ‘Jesus Loves
You...But I Don't’ illustrate what a powerful band The Almighty have always been on stage. The bonus disc also
includes demo versions and an acoustic take of Neil Young's ‘Rockin'’ In The Free World’!

Rockhouse Studios in Borlänge, these six tracks were used as pre-production demos for what would later become
the fourth Dozer album, 2005’s Through the Eyes of Heathens. The album is now released for the first time on
vinyl and digipak with a very special bonus track, a cover of the Sunride song Vinegar Fly. Vultures is a real

predecessor left off. Its sound was still rooted in a heavy rock feel, but Dozer were able to translate that into
something more aggressive when they wanted — their sound had bite as well as lumber, and while a cut like
“Born a Legend” could be traced back to their desert-minded beginnings in its basic structure, by the time it was
finally executed, it was something else entirely.

March 12 street date Beyond Colossal is the fulfillment of the promise 2005’s excellent Through the Eyes of
Heathens began to see through. The sound is that of the band pushing itself harder, writing stronger songs and
compromising none of their edge or aural passion. You can hear it on “Exoskeleton (Part II),” truncated here from
its appearance with “Part I” on a 2007 split with Iceland‘s Brain Police, at the 1:39-mark launching of “The
Ventriloquist,” on the more traditionally stoner “Grand Inquisitor” and even the quiet “Bound for Greatness” which
closes out the album. Dozer are not only on top of their game, they’re well beyond it.

March 6 street date. "My Book Of Answers" started with a chance encounter at Alicante airport on a flight bound for
Moscow in 2018, when Russian businessman Vladimir Emelin (whose hobby is writing poetry) approached Ken
Hensley. From translations of Vladimir's Russian words into English, Ken fashioned choruses and verses until he
had the basis for nine original new songs. The main stumbling block to starting this record was finding the time to
create it. And then the pandemic happened. Thankfully advances in modern technology meant that this album could
be created and completed remotely. The album sees Ken also returning to play slide and lead guitars as well as his
classic Hammond playing and of course lead vocals. "My Book Of Answers" was finished and scheduled for release
      before Ken's passing in November.

February 12 street date. This album is a reunion of Mike Tirelli and James Harris, the songwriting duo and
founding members of Holy Mother. Their passion for music and their deep appreciation for the band's fans brought
them back together to record this album. Guitarist Greg Giordano was recruited after numerous recommendations,
after Mike and Jim saw his monster guitar solo skills performed live. Music fans can expect great, modern, hard-
driving, bang your head music with powerhouse vocalist Mike Tirelli leading the way. This album is dedicated to
the memory of their dear friend and former bassist Randy Coven with whom Holy Mother recorded six albums.

February 26 street date. Lee Kerslake joined Uriah Heep in 1972 for the classic "Demons & Wizards" LP,
remaining behind Heep's drum kit for the best part of 30 plus years. Standing down from drumming full-time for
Uriah Heep in 2007 due to ill health, Lee commenced his debut solo album in 2015 with Jake Libretto, completing
the album in 2019. "Eleventeen" is a collection of eight songs, seven of them written or cowritten by Lee. Lee
sadly passed away in September 2020 at the age of 73, leaving the last word to his friend and long-time Uriah Heep
bandmate Mick Box: "it fills me with great pride that he achieved this as his last final musical legacy".
MISANTHROPIA "Convoy Of Sickness" (MASSACRE) MAS1157 CD
February 12 street date. The fourth brood that Misanthropia now spews out upon mankind tells us the stories and
events that occurred in the criminal underworld during the late 1970s up to the present day on Dutch and Belgian
soil. Music-wise, the grandeur and bombast once again proves that Misanthropia are able to arrive in splendor and
greatness when it comes to production, quality above everything else and artwork that is more than just in your
face. Their music spans from brutal and fast parts to moments of heavy and melodic parts. This album is not just
about misanthropy, hatred, anti-religion, or some pseudo end-of-the-world nonsense that is written in some manuals
and manifests to distract you and your loved ones. It is about how life on this ugly planet works, and beyond. It is
about how the underworld reigns, fights, and sometimes cooperates with the upper world, where the living also
profit and enjoy the good things and sweet candy that comes forth from this so-called underworld.

February 5 street date. Schnee (snow) is omnipresent in the works of Swiss black metal artist Wintherr aka Paysage
D'Hiver and turned into a four-part song cycle, released piece by piece on the compilation LP "Wurzelgeister"
('Schnee II', 2002) and on split records with Vinterriket ('Schnee I', 2003), Nordlicht and Drudkh ('Schnee III' and
'Schnee IV', 2017). All four tracks - created within a time span of almost 20 years and dealing with different facets of
the frozen element - are now available together for the first time ever on CD. They have been partly remixed and
wholly remastered specially for this release. Handmade CD digibook in black, sealed envelope.

February 5 street date. Paysage D'Hiver's double album "Im Wald" was recently released and immediately became a
favorite among both fans and critics. Now Wintherr offers us an addendum in the shape of the EP "Im Traum",
which contains two album songs as re-imagined versions. "In my inner ear", the Swiss artist explains, "I heard
deeper levels of music when recording 'Le Rêve Lucide' and 'Kaelteschauer', which are not possible to include in the
limited physical audio spectrum, as it often happens with Paysage D'Hiver. So these two tracks, wherein it seemed
particularly clear and intense to me, are a realization of these deeper levels for the first time".
SPELLJAMMER "Abyssal Trip" (RIDING EASY) EZRDR127 CD/ LP
March 5 street date. Following a five year break between their previous album, "Ancient Of Days", Sweden's
Spelljammer is back with an album that perfectly bridges the band's earlier desert rock leanings and their later
massive, slow-burning riffs. "Abyssal Trip" takes its moniker from the perpetually dark, cold, oxygen-free zone at
the bottom of the ocean. The six song, forty-four minute album fittingly embodies that bleak realm with rumbling,
oozing guitars intercut with dramatic melodic interludes. The songs take their time to unfurl, making them even
more hypnotic. Likewise, the lyrics take a poetic approach to establishing the sonic scenery. "Abyssal Trip" is, just
like its title suggests, an epic tour through desolate zones which yield much to discover.

celebrates this occasion with the new release "Innocence Lost - 30 Years Of Warpath". Get ready for 11 massive,
devastating and fear-killing thrash songs - including the new and previously unreleased song "Innocence Lost"
introducing the new line-up of Warpath, a different version of "God Is Dead", as well as the original recording of the
cover version of Venom's "Black Metal" - featuring Cronos of Venom and Sabina Classen of Holy Moses, among
      others.

February 12 street date. Wizard present their new studio album "Metal In My Head", the first one with the band's
new guitarist Tommy Hartung (No Inner Limits). The band teamed up with their old friend and producer Martin
Buchwalter (Tankard, Destruction, etc.), who also mixed and mastered the album. When it came to the drum
recordings, you will hear the real stuff, no software was used to artificially spice up the drum sound. Due to the
band not being able to perform live, Wizard put all their energy into the new album, and you can clearly hear that!

ARTHUR Mine"
March 5 street date. Arthur Alexander's mid-60s releases for Monument and Sound Stage 7 under the supervision of
Fred Foster in Nashville failed to register on the charts but are highly regarded, none more so than these sides cut
on his first session for the company. The released tracks from the session, ‘(Baby) For You’ and ‘The Other
Woman (In My Life)’, were more country-sounding. These two wonderful soul songs remained in the vaults until
an Ace CD in 2001 and have picked up admirers ever since. To own them on vinyl will be a vintage soul lover's
     thrill.

                             Money/Under The Street Lamp"
March 5 street date. The Exits recorded these classic songs in Los Angeles and found success in releasing them on
Pittsburgh's Gemini label, charting at #34 R&B in 1967. The number of copies pressed has not prevented the price
of originals rising way past the £100 barrier due to its excellence and the fact it is collected on several vintage music
scenes. The hit side was ‘Under The Street Lamp’, a beautiful paean to the street corner vocal groups of the 50s,
where many Exits members first sang. The atmospheric flip, ‘You Got To Have Money’, was celebrated later on
the rare and Northern Soul dance scene and is now a guaranteed floor-filler.

WALTE RJ Him/Forget The Girl"
March 5 street date. These two contrasting unissued late 60s soul sides were first made available on Ace CDs. Gigi
& the Charmaines' ‘I Don't Wanna Lose Him’ was written by Dale Warren and Gigi's husband, Herman Griffin.
Herman was responsible for many Detroit soul classics and Dale Warren made his name arranging and writing at
Shrine Records. A stomping yet subtle dance number that captures the energy of 1966, its only vinyl presence was
on the 100 Club Anniversary 45 of 2006, now a much-coveted item. Walter Jackson's ‘Forget The Girl’ is taken at
a more sedate pace, but is no less dynamic, with a full Chicago orchestra backing Walter's luxuriant vocal on a
Clint Ballard ballad, another stunning recording.
LOS YESTERDAYS "Mr. Yesterday/So (NOW-AGAIN) NA7039 7"
                           Insincere"
February 5 street date. The song that started it all for Gabriel Rowland and Victor Benavides was "Mr. Yesterday",
a future Chicano soul classic about a jilted lover who refuses to accept reality, opting instead to live in the
memories of happier times. It was after Tom Brenneck heard the song that he contacted Gabe Roth and the duo
started working with Daptone Records. Here, we present the original, demo version of Los Yesterdays' "Mr.
Yesterday". Rounding out the record is the B-Side tribute to Little Anthony & The Imperials, "So Insincere",
about a man who confronts his lover about her lies concealing a longtime affair.
MACRAMES "Unintentional (NOW-AGAIN) NA7040 7"
Consequences Of Love/So In Love With"
February 5 street date. The Macrames, with Victor Benavides channeling his inner Al Green, invokes the early 70s
soul sounds of Memphis and Philly. Songs such as "Unintentional Consequences of Love" that tells the tale of a
man who has unwittingly (and unwillingly) fallen in love and is living in denial. But as beauty is in the eye of the
beholder, so love is in the heart of the "perceiver" and "So In Love With You" exemplifies this opposite perspective
of someone reveling in the thrills of a new love. Originally a part of Los Yesterdays early set lists, these two tracks
featuring the legendary Ozomatli horns were shelved when the band solidified their unique 50s/60s psychedelic
soul sound, and so The Macrames were born.

1970s Indonesia were largely underground as a result of strict censorship imposed by the dictator Suharto. Those
who performed music marked by relentless fuzz, over the top, politically charged lyrics, strong rhythms and a
cranky low-fidelity were truly rebellious. Thanks now to the tireless research of Canadian hip hop producer and
Southeast Asian music specialist Jason "Moss" Connoy - and the trust that Indonesian rock legend Benny
Soebardja placed in Now-Again Records as he traversed his homeland's islands securing the rights necessary to offer
this anthology - Now-Again feel like they can, in good spirits and conscience, shine the light on some of the most
impressive organizations to offer their take on the psychedelic and progressive rock and funk sounds during the early
shocking, shaking days of Suharto's regime.

WALTER WILSON But Later"
March 5 street date. These two tracks have been around since their first releases on Kent LPs in the late 80s. Taken
from the Scepter/Wand tapes, the artists had one release each on those labels. Maurice Williams' ‘Look My Way’
was recorded at the same session as the two songs issued on his Zodiacs-billed Scepter 45, although it outperforms
them both. It was assumed that ‘Not Now But Later’ by Walter Johnson was also an unreleased number, but a few
years later, a Wand DJ copy was discovered in the home of the producer Billy Jackson, when the singer's true
identity was found to be Walter Wilson. However, Billy stated that it was an alias for Tommy Keith, who wrote
and recorded some excellent soul music. It is a beautiful self-penned ballad in the Ashford/Simpson mould.

was to start this AfroRock band, Here Lies Man. What you're hearing on this record is music I wrote for that band
but has been reimagined to bring it back to its original form.” Using fewer elements of Highlife for its brand of
Afrobeat, Double Life infuses more blues elements while still retaining an Afrobeat authenticity representative of
        African diasporic music.

devoted fan of soul music, has built her fan base serenading audiences with her sultry voice on soul classics, and
earning herself a legion of devotees as a result. Teaming up with The Abuelitos, Trish delivers some of her smokiest vocals
yet, with songs like "Coco LaLaLa" and "Do the Wrong Thing". Understanding that Ms. Toledo is the undisputed queen of
the newly coined "Souldies" movement in L.A., the songwriting team decided they wanted to take her to the east

1958, Randy’s Records owners, Vincent and Pat Chin, decided to expand their business by building a recording
studio above the famed Randy's Record Mart shop at 17 North Parade, Kingston. Over the months that
immediately ensued, numerous recordings were produced at the new facility, primarily under the auspices of

February 12 street date. By the time the strident sound of original dancehall came to dominate the Jamaican music
scene at the close of the 1970s, Sonia Pottinger had long been established as one of the island's most influential
figures. Since first making her mark as a producer of note in the mid-60s, she had remained at the forefront of the
fiercely competitive industry, effortlessly adapting to changing musical styles. Her ability to keep her finger firmly
on the musical pulse is impressively reflected with this set, which gathers the very best of her output during the
golden age of dancehall. Included on this essential collection are popular works by some of Jamaica's finest talents
of the era, with the island's top sessions crews, the Revolutionaries and the Roots Radics the chief musical

February 26 street date. Conceived at the heel of Italy's boot-shaped peninsula in Apulia, Patrick Belaga's "Blutt"
makes music for the unruly imagination. The title is an old German word for 'naked', 'bare', but it can also mean
'blood' when spelt blut. Take away another letter and it makes 'butt'. None of these definitions and adaptations were
what prompted the classically-trained composer and cellist to name his second album with a word simulating the
sound of a punctured artery. That came later. Blutt's nine woozy compositions are inspired by a contemplative road
trip with a friend, and the mysterious muffled music heard from an unidentified source. It was a combination of jazz
and classical music that haunted Belaga's wanderings through the Byzantine town Gallipoli, and soon infected his
dreams of long-gone civilizations. This record is its outcome, where organic instrumentals and electronic
production merge into a sound that’s both contemporary and ancient.

February 26 street date. Brijean want you to move, physically, mentally, dimensionally; this is dance music for the
mind, body, and soul. With "Feelings", they’'e manifested a gentle collective space for respite, for self-reflection,
for self-care, for uninhibited imagination and new possibilities. The album cultivates a specific vibe, a softness
Brijean Murphy has come to call "romancing the psyche". In 2018, she began recording songs with multi-
instrumentalist and producer Doug Stuart, who shares a background in jazz and pop in bands such as Bells Atlas,
Meernaa, and Luke Temple. Following their first sessions, which resulted in 2019's mini-album "Walkie Talkie",
the duo continued freeform hangs in Oakland, inviting friends Chaz Bear, Tony Peppers, and Hamir Atwal. The
leap from "Walkie Talkie" to "Feelings" is marked by a notable expanse in range and energy. Brijean's signature
sound - a golden-hued dream pop tropicalia of dazzling beats and honeyed vocals - elevates with the addition of live
drummers, strings, and synths. The album also finds Murphy fully trusting in her strengths, not just as a
percussionist, but as a songwriter and collaborator.

the Editions Mego fold with On Feather and Wire.A dynamic and diverse album that pivots between the punctuated
pop of Ivan Pavlov's COH project, the chromatic slink of Chris and Cosey whilst also bearing a degree of fruit
birthed from Hallbäck's home country Sweden in skewered pop such as The Knife. A sublime contemporary techno
pop trip both psychedelic and subversive -- a unique blend of industrial, techno, pop, and experimental forms.

Prayer" project from 2019 was only the first of many joint albums to come. Their follow-up, "Sacred Psalms", is
not a sequel but instead a new chapter in the story of Camino's rise.
