Gemini Lake Security and Management Extension
To accommodate the increased demand in education Chromebooks over
the past year, Chrome OS has decided to extend security and
management updates for managed Intel Gemini Lake devices for an
additional year (until June 2027).
This extension is not an Automatic Update Expiration date extension and
does not include new features. Instead, Chrome OS will provide
manageability and security patches and support for an additional year
(until June 2027) for devices with Chrome Enterprise Upgrade or Chrome
Education Upgrade. While new Chrome OS versions and feature updates
are not guaranteed after June 2026, security and manageability patches
will continue through June 2027. If you need to communicate this to any impacted
customers, we’ve also created an email template
