    Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that serves the people of Oklahoma and is
    dedicated to continuing the organization’s heritage of education, entertainment and economic development
    through the operation of the OKC Fairgrounds and the annual Oklahoma State Fair.

    All General Horse Show Rules apply to the Miniature Donkey Show, unless otherwise stated. It is important that
    you read, understand, enter and comply with all rules pertinent to all Oklahoma State Fair Horse Shows.

     MAKE SURE TO READ THE INFORMATION REGARDING CHANGE IN GATE HOURS, ADMISSION
        TICKETS, ARMBANDS, ENTRY DEADLINES, SUBSTITUTION RULES AND MORE IN THE
            OKLAHOMA STATE FAIR, EQUINE DEPARTMENT GENERAL RULES SECTION.

                               THIS SHOW HAS BEEN DESIGNATED AS THE
                              2021 NMDA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.
       1. NATIONAL MINIATURE DONKEY ASSOCIATION SHOW RULES to govern Miniature Donkey
          classes according to current NMDA rulebook. All Miniature Donkeys must be registered prior to show.
          This show is approved by and will be run in accordance with the National Miniature Donkey
          Association, unless otherwise indicated. You are encouraged to view these rules available online:
          http://www.nmdaasset.com/downloads/NMDA_ShowRules.pdf. NMDA Fee: $2.00 per Miniature
          Donkey will be assessed and due with entries. Not applicable to ACOSA classes.
       2. Animals entered in ACOSA designated classes MUST be registered with ACOSA and verification of
          that registration status submitted with their entries prior to the Fair. See www.spottedass.com for
          additional information.
       3. The NMDA classes are open to Miniature Donkeys registered with the Miniature Donkey Registry
          (MDR), the American Donkey Registry (ADR) or the Canadian Donkey & Mule Association (CDMA).
          Unregistered Miniature Donkeys will not be allowed to show. (Exception: ACOSA classes: see Rule 6
          above.)
       4. Maximum height for animals entered in the NMDA Miniature Donkey classes is 36” with the
          exception of animals entered in the TEAM classes, which can be up to 38”. Donkeys will be measured
          Friday evening, September 24, 2021 starting at 5 p.m. in Barn #8.
       5. The age of a Miniature Donkey, for the purpose of entering this competition, will be determined by
          its actual birth date. Foals must be a minimum of six (6) months of age and all donkeys in jumping
          and/or driving classes must be three (3) years or older.
       6. Youth exhibitors: Competitors 17 years of age and under may not show a jack two years or older in
          any NMDA class. The age of an individual on January 1st will be maintained throughout entire year.
       7. OKLAHOMA STATE FAIR HIGH POINT AWARDS:
          Pursuant to NMDA rules, it IS necessary that jacks/jennets be entered, shown and judged in at
          least one halter (conformation) class to be eligible for Performance High Point award
          consideration. It is NOT necessary for GELDINGS to enter or show in a conformation halter
          class to be eligible for any of the Performance High Point awards.

HIGH POINT CALCULATION: For classes of five or more animals, first place will receive 5 points,
        with the remaining places receiving one less point in descending order. For classes of less than five
        animals, first place will receive points equal to the number in the class, with the remaining places
        receiving one less point in descending order.
        a. TIES: High point ties will be broken by the number of first places, then by number of classes
            placed in, then by the highest placing in Pleasure Driving (or in hand and trail for Non-Driving
            Divisions.)
        b. To be eligible for any of the High Point awards, the Miniature Donkey (or Team) must be duly
            entered, shown and judged in classes to be considered for any high point award. Placings in
            Championship Halter classes # 8, 11, 14, 17, 18 and all ACOSA designated classes (19-22
            inclusive) will NOT count toward any High Point award.
    8. Exhibitor armbands:
       a. Available to completed and fully paid entries processed online no later than August 31, 2021.
       b. No exhibitor discount tickets, armbands or additional parking passes will be available for entries
          submitted after August 31. Thereafter, all admissions must be paid at the gate upon arrival.
       c. For entries made online no later than August 31: Tickets and armbands will be available to
          be picked up in the Horse Show Office in the NE corner of the Performance Arena in Barn 6.
       d. Will allow bearer free admission through Gate 7 ONLY for period of time designated on the
          armband.
       e. Must be on exhibitor’s wrist and cannot be transferred or replaced.
       f. Lost or destroyed armbands cannot be replaced.
       g. Will be allotted (per ownership entity/recorded exhibitor/Not per handler):
                            1. 1-2 animals entered:      1 armband
                            2. 3-4 animals entered:      2 armbands
                            3. 5+ animals entered:       3 armbands (maximum)
     FEES:
    Processing fee: Per exhibitor (i.e. single ownership entity) (includes office fee & 1 parking hangtag). $10.00
    Stall Fee: (required for each miniature donkey &/or tack rooms) ......................................................... $35.00
          (No more than two (2) miniature donkeys entered/owned by same owner may be stabled in one paid stall)
    Early Arrival: (Additional/per night per stall) (Must be pre-arranged and approved. ............................ $15.00
    Entry Fee per class: (EACH/ALL classes except YOUTH, unless otherwise noted) .................... $10.00
    NO ENTRY FEE for Youth Classes #23, 38, 40, & 43. Late fees will apply if entered after 9-14-2021.
    (Miniature Donkey must be entered in at least one additional open class requiring entry fee)
    NMDA Fee: Per Miniature Donkey. (Exception: Unique animals entered in ACOSA classes only) $ 2.00

     ALL ENTRIES MUST BE PROCESSED ONLINE by September 14, 2021 (*) and paid
     immediately with credit cards: Entries must be submitted under the same ownership entity as is
     recorded on the animal’s registration certificate. Go to www.okstatefair.com; Competitions; Equine
     Competitions for the appropriate link and follow directions contained therein. Mail or fax (fax # = 405-
     948-4129/ Attn: Marc) copies of the registration certificates verifying current ownership as well as the
     completed OSF Liability Waiver to the Oklahoma State Fair Administration office accompanied by
     written information allowing us to match your online entries with the documents being mailed/faxed.
     1. July 1 – August 15: Entries processed and paid online. (Additional late fees not applicable) Any entry
        changes or additions made after August 15 to entries previously submitted will be assessed
        additional late fees as noted below.
     2. August 16 – August 31: Late Fees: Entries will be assessed $100.00 additional per exhibitor. Entries
        processed after August 31 will not be eligible for exhibitor armbands, discount tickets or additional
        parking passes and exhibitors will need to pay admission upon arrival. ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY.
     3. September 1-September 14: Late Fees: Entries will be assessed $150.00 additional per exhibitor. Not
        eligible for complimentary admission or exhibitor armbands. ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY.
     4. (*) September 15 – until 4 p.m. on Friday, September 24: Must be submitted via hard copy/entry
        forms complete with all necessary paperwork and fees directly to the Horse Show office. (NOT online,
        mailed or faxed.) These entries will be assessed an additional late fee of $200.00 per exhibitor and all
        fees must be paid with credit card or cash. NO entries will be accepted after 4 p.m. the day prior to the
        first intended class. Not eligible for complimentary admission or exhibitor armbands.

      Optional: Additional parking hangtag: (limited to one additional per exhibitor & must be requested & paid with
      initial entries received no later than August 31. Only for period of time surrounding this specific show.) ... $15.00

Belt buckles will be given to Champion Hi Point Miniature Donkeys and awards to the Reserve Hi
Point Miniature Donkeys in the following performance divisions:
  • Hi-Point Pre-Green Qualifying classes = [appropriate halter class] + 24, 39, 41, 44, 51.
  • Hi-Point Non-Driving (Qualifying classes = [appropriate halter class] + 25, 42, 46, 49, 53.
  • Hi-Point Green (Qualifying classes = [appropriate halter class] + 26, 27, 28, 29, 45, 48, 52.
  • Hi-Point Open (Qualifying classes = [appropriate halter class] + 30, 31, 32, 33, 47, 50,
      54.
  • Hi-Point Team (Qualifying classes = 34, 35, 36, 37. (Placings in halter classes will not count
      toward Team Hi-Point awards.)
  • Championship and reserve championship rosettes provided by NMDA for classes #11,
      14,17.
  • Championship buckle provided to winner in class # 8 & 18
  • Special awards for Youth classes in addition to ribbons, provided by Little Rasscals Miniature
      Donkeys.
  • Other classes 1st – 5th place ribbons.

2021 Oklahoma State Fair Liability Waiver:

In completing and submitting this form, the undersigned hereby releases, discharges and agrees to indemnify
Oklahoma State Fair, Inc., the City of Oklahoma City, and the City of Oklahoma City Public Property Authority (and
all of their officers, directors, members, managers, agents, representatives and employees) ("Indemnified Parties”)
from any and all losses or expenses of any kind, civil penalties, crimes, and causes of actions (including cost for
defense, settlement and attorney fees) arising from or related to (1) death or bodily injury to any person, (2)
destruction, damage, loss of theft of any property, (3) any violation of any law or (4) any other claim, cause of
action, damage or expense, which results from or arises out of any act or failure to act, claim, demand or action
arising from or by reason of personal injury that may occur to any associated individual(s) or animal(s) or properties
entered or attending this Event being held at OKC Fairgrounds, whether caused by the actual or passive negligence
of the Releasees, while the undersigned is at OKC Fairgrounds and/or competing, observing, working in, or for any
purposes participating at the Oklahoma State Fair. The undersigned has read and voluntarily signs this Release
and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement. If under eighteen (18) years of age, signature of individual and
parent or authorized guardian is required. The undersigned are aware of and understand Oklahoma Statutes,
Section 50 of Title 76 pertaining to the Oklahoma Livestock Liability Limitations Act. The person submitting this,
along with any entry, therein agrees to accept authority to act as agent for actual and/or recorded owner(s) of
any/all animal(s) being entered, if applicable, and, in doing so, indicates acceptance of all rules, regulations, liability
limitations for all individuals so named as owner, trainer, agent, exhibitor, rider, handler, groom, guest and/or
showman. The person submitting this form accepts responsibility and verifies accuracy of all information provided
herein.

This release and waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma.
